Quick (n00bish) PS3 Question

Recently my PS3 has taken to screaming at me that there's less than 500MB left on its hard-drive, even after I removed all videos, demos, PSP Games and any Saved Game that I could transfer over to my external HDD. Now all that's left are a load of Game Data files.

What I just want to double check it that these Game Data files are only the game itself and deleting them won't affect my saved games. I'm 99.9% sure that they're just the updates etc. but I really need someone to be my 0.1%

Yeah your right about that, I was cleaning out my PS3 last night and I did just that. Also if you delete a game save data it won't delete your trophies (if you care).

Now where did you get your external HDD? I need one.

Dude, just to buy a new HDD.

They aren't expensive - £40 gets anywhere from 160 to 250GB.

Cheers guys. I have most of my saves (barring games I'm playing at the momment and protected ones) on a second drive. Just want to 'clean up.'

even though you've got your answer, if you mail Sony or try their FAQ's, they're usually really helpful
