Was looking forward to AvP, but my GOD the demo was horrible - matchmaking system with no control over what game you got into, horrific latency and game drops when the host leaves. Jeebus, that was the reason I avoided MW2, and then AvP releases a demo with exactly what I feared the most.
I hear tell that it will have dedicated servers and server browsing in the full release, but that's just forum chatter. Why the hell would you release such a dismal system in a DEMO if that's not at all indicative of the final game's system?! BF:BC2 didn't, and it's in beta. Guess it just goes to show that the multiplayer component for the PC was an afterthought - though if that was the case, why not give us even a single solo level?! :/
Not often I uninstall a demo after just an hour, but AvP was just that horrible. Which was a shame, cos I loved the old AvP2 :'(
