So I'm not much of a PC gamer but I really wanna play Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
I ran "Can you run it" and it said my graphics card fails the minimum but my card has more than the minimum required. It makes no sense to me, would I still be able to run the game?

Recomended: Nvidia 7600GT or ATI x1800 (256 MB video ram)

Mine: Intel Series 4: 1.7 GB Video Ram, Hardware T&L (yes), Pixel Shader Version (4.0, Required 3.0), Vertex Shader Version (4.0, req 3.0)

Seeing as how i have more than what it asks could I still run the game? or is "Can you run it" correct and my computer fails the minimum?

It's an Intel GPU, there's your problem, they are absolutely terrible, and most games have no support for them.

I don't think Intel makes serious graphics hardware. You're probably below the minimum.
This is correct.

Intel doesn't make gaming cards, it's really the bottom of the barrel as far as graphics cards are concerned.

I'd recommend just buying a cheapo graphics card, integrated graphics are terribad.

Depends on your onboard chip, actually. If it can't handle the game, maybe it's time to move away from onboard anyways.

However, onboard/integrated graphics are not always as terrible as this lot seems to think. I've got an onboard chip that pwns the vast majority of the cards on the market. Last I checked it was in league with the Radeon 4850, and since that is the card I actually use, I think I know how well it performs. And I'm not just saying it's good because I looked at the rating on neutral testing sites; I've used the onboard, and it worked for every game I played. Realistically it all depends on the chip.

So, final word: Test out the onboard, and if it doesn't work, mayhaps it's time to upgrade to a good vid card anyways.
