Quick question about Dead Space 3.

What happened to that Kinect swearing system?
I know, I'm horrible.
Anyway.
I've played the game several times over without the kinect but now I'm curious as to how it works. But I can't find anything about it anywhere. Did it get cut? I would assume it got cut, it wasn't receiving a very... positive response but if it wasn't, I want to know how it works and if it was, well, I'm just looking for some confirmation here.
So where did the Dead Space 3 swearing go?
