This might be a stupid question but...is character death permanent, like Fire Emblem? As in, if one of my created characters dies in the item world, they're lost for good?

As far as I am aware, yes, but you can revive them during battle if you have the proper item or spell; I haven't played in so long.

One thing I've always wondered and never tried or researched it whether or not a high level prinny will do more damage when thrown than a lower level on. SO in theory you could have a level 1000 prinny or something and he'd be like a walking tactical nuke.

No, there is no permanent death.

IIRC, thrown Prinnies do damage based on their health. I think it's 25% of their health as damage, and even at 9999 that's not very much compared to what most characters can deal with a single attack.

According to my Disgaea fanboy-roommate, you can revive them at a hospital so your characters won't be dead permanently. He does mention that it's hilarious when you run out of money and items to sell, and therefore can't afford to revive them.

No, there is no permanent death.
Oh, sweet, thanks!

...does that include weaponized prinnies, or is my sense of morality still closing off that option?

Okay, then, so those monsters getting in some lucky shots on my fire mage isn't an insurmountable situation. I know even if it was permanent, I'd be able to train another, but I hate having characters I create die on me.

I haven't played this game for many years, but I thought that when prinnies were thrown, since they are subsequently blown up, that they die forever. Thinking back to my save, I had no prinnies alive, so something must have happened to them.

Yeah, you just need some moeny to revive them at the hospital. And you get nice accesories if you spend enough at the hospital as well!
