Quick Question About Mass Effect 3 (some spoilers)

Ok, so I'm wondering when and/or how I get Kaidan back on my team. He's no longer in the hospital and Udina says that he's a Specter now. So when/how do I get him back? Mars had better not have been the only time I could have him in my team!
