I don't like them much, but they're not the most annoying thing in the whole world. Still, I think games would be better off without them. I have never felt that a QTE added anything to a game, it just distracts me from paying attention to cutscenes because I'm worried about "oh shit, my thumb's on x, but what if I have to hit b!" If your cutscene is so boring that you need to break it up by making me play a button, then change it or cut it. QTE's do not immerse me in the gameplay, they were cool the first time I saw them in Shenmue, but they very quickly lost their appeal, and now I can't help but feel that they just make gaming more annoying.

They worked in Resi 4, but I'm not sure I've seen another good application of them... before or since!

I find them on the whole to be a bit irritating. If they're done well, though, I'll let it slide...

Just a shame that well done QTE's are few and far between.

I like them in competitive multiplayer things like chainsaw duels, but am not so keen in cutscenes and the like

In gears of war and god of war they did quick time events well. It created a lot of tension in the chainsaw duels and random attacks from bosses because you were not expecting it.

Unskippable cutscenes are bad enough. Sticking a "Press X to not die" in there is the sort of thing that will chase me away from a game. I won't even buy games that use QTEs.

If handled well, they certainly add to the experience. Take God of War kills for example. It im much more satisfying to mash the circle button until the neck breaks, rather then tapping it once.

Personally I don't like them. I use cutscenes to stand up and grab a drink and just listen to the story or what not, but then it has you on edge the entire time waiting for something to happen and I feel it really takes away from paying attention to the story itself.

I like QTEs and the adrenaline that it sometimes can give you :3 Although I wish those MASH A QTEs were gone. Those just tick me off. I'll do 'em, but I probably won't like it.

Revolutionary when Shenmue did it. Now you can hardly find a game that doesn't incorporate it into the gameplay. Just let it die, people... just let it die.

I like them if I'm warned about them before they happen... like Ninja Blade did. But Shenmue's were the best.

Personally, I have no problem with them. The knife fight in RE4 wouldn't have been nearly as epic without them...

They work well in-game like god of war, but if they result in an instant death because you miss one, it gets annoying, and the game usually reloads to the point just before the QTE happened, making them pointless. In condemned 2 they use them in the last boss fight and IT GETS VERY OLD VERY FAST!

QTEs would be better if they were not scattered throughout random parts of random games. If a game can use them right, then good, but most games don't. "O well if people are having problems then lets just make the button they need to push the size of the screen and give them 3 seconds to push a single button. Viking: BfA did this. Kung Fu Panda did this (not that anyone gives a F*ck about kid's movies being made into games. Speaking about unsucessful games from Movies, I should go watch Beowulf.)

As long as it's more... "Hey, look a quick time in a few seconds. Prepare yourself." instead of, "Yeah. Look. The rock is being thrown at you... yeah... yeah... QUICKTIME EVENT! QUICK! QUICK! Ahh christ. I gave you two WHOLE seconds!"

I don't really like Quicktime events.

I don't mind doing a little puzzle game wher I have to press different buttons at certain times, but when I have to rappidly tap the Y button because a zombie is trying to eat me and I have to press the Y button X ammount of times just gets annoying.

Only when Properly utilized. And all random QTE's (I'm looking at you, Uncharted) just need to GTFO.
