Greetings, Escapist. If a thread like this was made already, I do apologise.

Anyhow, I thought that we all have little questions about videogames that we are playing now and plan to play later, but that are also not worthy of creating the whole thread about them and Google can't help in finding answers. So why not post them all here? If you have a question or an answer, please don't be shy and write it.

My questions:
1. So, Final Fantasy XII. Is there any point in the game after you get your whole party (six people?) when they are separated? I am asking because if I'll ever play it I want to forget about teenagers (i.e. Vaan *bleh* and Penelo *bleh*) and never play them if possible.

2. When are Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced edition and Wasteland 2 Enhanced edition coming out?

P.S. Jesus Christ, Escapist, control your ads. They are eating all my RAM.

I don't have an answer for question 2, but you never have to use three of the characters if you do not wish to. (As far as I can remember, the only exceptions are if your main party fails, a hunting mark requires all three ladies in the main party to get it to appear and you are stuck with Vaan as your party's avatar in non-combat areas.) In fact, apart from slight stat differences, starting weapons and extremely rare differences in attack animation length, there is less of a different between the characters of XII than either VII or VIII. With combat, the two street urchins are just as capable as the war veteran, the pirates, and the princess who is/was leading a rebellion.

The real problem you might have, though, is Vaan and Penelo are in a lot of important scenes. If you really can't stand them, then your enjoyment of the story will suffer. Those two do feel out of place, but only a couple scenes really bother me. Otherwise, most of their important lines could be said by anyone in the party. Besides, they are useful in combat (so my complaint isn't "why is there a bishie pretty boy in the party" as much as it's "why didn't they bother making him more central to the plot if they wanted to shoehorn him in."

I still say play it, thought. It is good, especially when you forget that it's an FF title. The extraneous characters are a minor flaw compared to some of the other complaints against other modern Final Fantasy titles.

OT: I don't really have anything important to ask but here's something that is bought up on Miiverse every so often: When is Metroid: Zero Mission coming to the North American Eshop? Apparently the EU Eshop has had it for a long time. My best guess is NoA is holding on to it for the 30th anniversary.

I don't think there is an official date for D:OS but I'll try to verify that claim. In the meantime - I seem to recall end of this year being mentioned but I'm not sure. Let me come back to you on that.

EDIT: I checked around and the most concrete date is indeed the end of this year. Found here [http://larian.com/games/divinity-original-sin-enhanced-edition/] on Larian's official site it says "Available: end of 2015".

Also, I want to note that this page [http://larian.com/games/] says "Available: Fall 2015" which presumably overlaps with the previous statement, but I noticed they used two different words to explain it, which I found mildly curious.

Out of curiosity, I looked it up myself. From what I can tell, there is no word on Zero Mission being released in North America at the moment.

I can confirm that if you have never played it before, you're in for a treat. Zero Mission is amazing.

I keep telling them they're the only reason my computer ever slows down, but they never listen.

OT: I don't have the answers to your questions, so I'll just ask whatever comes to mind. Like uhh...

What's Nintendo got against continuing the story of Samus Aran? After Fusion, that's it. Is she wanted by the people she worked for all this time? Is the bounty hunter gonna have a bounty on her head? We'll never know.

Indeed it is amazing. I've played dozens of times since it first came out. The sequencing breaking and openness add so much replay value that Fusion lacks. It's a shame it wasn't put on the eshop soon after Fusion. I love giving tips to those who ask on Fusion's Miiverse.

My guess is they don't really know what to do after Fusion. There is a lot to address in the finale of Fusion. Other M's poor reception might have also put them off on fleshing out the main series any further.

Even if they have come up with a good plot for a sequel, it probably took a few years. Drafts and rewrites to fit new gameplay ideas, and to allow the easy continuation of the series after 5, probably fill up a few folders at Nintendo headquarters.
