Quoted notifications.

No idea if this is the right place for this. Can't seem to find a tech/support forum. My bad if I am simply overlooking it. But it seems to be that I am no longer receiving notifications when I am quoted. Anyone know what might be going on?

You may have accidentally disabled it. Try looking through your profile options and see if it's enabled.

Also, if someone edits their post and quotes you in the edit it doesn't notify you, so maybe that's what happened.

Upon further inspection... yes and no. I am being told i have 0 messages on the front page and the header while in the forums. However if i manually go into my messages it shows me as having 11 "quotes". That is really strange.

So going manually into the messages of my profile I clicked on a message and it now displays me as having 13 messages on the front page. Some from days ago. So it seems I am getting them. But only after reading one. Hmm... not sure. Might fiddle with it and if I don't get anywhere I'll try that tech group, thanks.

Also, if someone edits their post and quotes you in the edit it doesn't notify you, so maybe that's what happened.

If you get notified of this, it works now. Hopefully it does, that always annoyed me.

Mine comes and goes. Sometimes all I have to do is just check my messages and then it gives me notifications. That's been the past week for me.

I had been online almost all day of the day in question and had received no notification. I love seeing that red blinking telling me I have messages; Y U BROKEN ESCAPIST? =(

I found out by posting in a thread multiple times and noticing I had been quoted and it was never telling me. Having said that, as I posted earlier even since manually reading one of my quotes everything is now showing up. Not sure what was up but it seems to be working for now. Gonna watch it and see if it keeps telling me.
