From what I've seen it looks like a fine game, it's in an area of gaming I really like (FPSRPGs) but it really looks like to much of the same. I mean it looks like a fallout/borderlands hybrid that doesn't seem to add much to the style of shooting some one in the head and levelling up in a post apocalyptic world were you came out of a vault (arc in this case).

Then again maybe I'm missing something...

I just don't see the rage about Rage (I had to). It seems to be a very generic shooter. Bioshock's gameplay with more RPG elements and vehicle sections, better gunplay, and better AI. None of Bioshocks (3) good characters. Perhaps I'm missing something, like the game comes with a free pacific island or something.

Haha! Punny, and I agree whole heartedly with you it's not that innovative or interesting.

I think the main rage about Rage (dammit, ninja'd!) is the engine running it. It can process a pic up to a resolution of something like 25000x16500. Apart from that, it looks fairly generic.

I'm not a huge fan of FPS games (mostly because Aiming in real life is nothing like aiming in a game and motion control with a clunky piece of plastic bites the big one) but it looks pretty good to me.

Yes? I guess it "looks" good but pretty dont mean much. Wont be able to tell till we get a more in depth look at it in all its facets.

EDIT: OT: Yaaa, scribbler now~!

It is very good looking I give it that but is there any other cool reasons to pick it up?
Unfortunatly these days it's easier to make a pretty game rather than an interesting one, but only time will tell whether id pull it off.

I'm just laughing at the comments on gunplay and AI when ID hasn't unveiled anything more than clips of video, much less demonstrated extended gameplay sequences.

Hopping on board the hate train a little early, aren't we?

I'm as intrigued by it as I would be of a cat that can make me a bacon sandwich: Interested, yet cautious of anything fishy about it.

Once it's released it'll show it's true worth, and I do hope it'll be what we are led to expect.

Those numbers make me feel funny.

It gives me the same vibe that Doom 3 did before it was released. I expect that Rage will be a great game, but it would be unfair to expect it to be a world-changer.

I have unreasonably high expectations and I know it. I want another world-changer like Quake 1 and Quake 3 were.

I'm looking forward to it. Nice graphics, FPSRPG and racecar demolishion driving ftw. As far as story and atmosphere goes, well yeah it looks a little generic but as long as the gameplay is fun I'll be spending my time RAGEing. Heyo!

I think it looks pretty cool. I'm a huge fan of games with that aesthetic and style of gameplay, and I'm hopeful.
