So I preloaded this yseterday, hoping to play it only to find that it doesnt start until 6pm GMT. So I have to wait another six hours just because I'm not american?
Yes but I'm getting it six hours later in the day. Most of America will be asleep right now while i sit here waitingPimppeter2 said:Yes, those are called timezones.
Americans aren't getting it first. Its the same time.
Err.... If it's 6 PM GMT, it's 1 PM in America (East Coast). Most people are actualy awake at that time of the day.Toasty Virus said:Yes but I'm getting it six hours later in the day. Most of America will be asleep right now while i sit here waitingPimppeter2 said:Yes, those are called timezones.

It's a timezone difference everyone will be receiving it simultaneously, they will just be releasing it at a time convient for the company, or do you expect them to release it at the time you want it?Toasty Virus said:Yes but I'm getting it six hours later in the day. Wait, really?Dublin Solo said:Be careful, it's a Ubisoft game....
No your not understanding, there is a timezone difference, whats 12pm in the US, is 6pm in Britain. The game is availible to everyone at the same time, but the time of release vary's depending on your location. In short we can both play the game at the same moment, but your local time will be different from mine. This is the case for everyone in the world, depending on the company's country of residence, the time of release will be more convient for that nation than for others. Stop making it out to be some pro-american, anti-britain bullshit please.Toasty Virus said:No your not understanding meCrimsonsniper said:It's a timezone difference everyone will be receiving it simultaneously, they will just be releasing it at a time convient for the company, or do you expect them to release it at the time you want it?Toasty Virus said:Yes but I'm getting it six hours later in the day. However Over here we get it at 6pm which is alot later on in the day
No, I'm afraid you're not getting the OP's point. Even though the times are parallel, he has to wait "longer" for the game.Crimsonsniper said:No your not understanding, there is a timezone difference, whats 12pm in the US, is 6pm in Britain. Assume that both party A (in America) and Party B (in the UK) wake up at 8am in each of their timezones. They wake up at different times relative to each other, however to each it appears to be 8am. Party A will wake up at 8, wait 5 hours and the game will be there. Party B will wake up at 8, wait 10 hours and the game will be there.
I'm not siding with the OP, however waiting can be a ***** when there's nothing else to do, and you missed their point.
