R18+ Status Report

Hey.

One step further towards an 18+ rating in Australia. The Standing Committee of Attorneys General today agreed to release a status report following public consultation about whether Australia?s Classification Scheme should include an R 18+ classification category for computer games.

From what I've read... Australia has a very good chance of getting the R18+.

You have a mix of religious, business, community and I think scientific community on your side to counter the pretty much religious side against the rating. The people for R18+ covered all sides and explained coherently their arguments... whereas - if I read theirs correctly - the people against it actually proved one point of the proponents. So that's pretty awesome, again if I read it correctly.

Anyways, yeah... looks like you have a solid offense and defense. Still, a wish of good luck can go a long way. So I wish you the best of good luck. Kick their cans.

On-Topic: I really hope Australians get this 18+ rating. At least the annoyance of showing ID that you're really at least 18 is better than not playing the games that get the 18+ rating.
