Today in Scotland it is Burns day where all across Scotland people sit down to a nice meal of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. With a family member reading out Rabbie Burns' poem Address to a Haggis:

And maybe some of his other poems. Basically it's a day where we become stereotypes.

So Escapists, I ask you, did you know anything about this before hand?

I live not far from Scotland and my sister's boyfriend is scottish. My house is stinking of haggis right now, although it tastes damn good. I have never heard a Burns poem to be honest, I'm not really into that...BTW, when is pancake day?

Yes, I love haggis, it's really awesome, I eat it on occasion throughout the year.

Oh come on, you know. Holidays that actually mean something instead of "This day is clear, let's give it to someone". A holiday that you actually know of instead of just seeing it in passing on a calender.
