So today a friend noted i was married to an and Argonian played as a Kajeet and remarked as how odd that was. I wondered what he meant and inquired he said "well in an RPG i would have at least one human" i joking called him raciest but he is replied that it honestly kind of is and this lead to a discussion of who we would befriend or date with archetypes from games.
Here is what we game to conclusion on.
We can each befriend any race regardless of apprentice and general social background of that race. We both think if "races" encompassed thin like "Human, Orc, Kajeet" racism would be more prevalent over all but greatly lessened in the regard of "white, black, asian"
I like just about ant race as a mate i nave never found it all that relevant in the context of games though I would have a harder time accepting an extraterrestrial like say the turian of mass effect that have no analog in real life though if they are as epic as Garrus I may make an exception. I would fight openly against slavery and racism to a radical point of war
He could not date any male or nonhuman race. And would be passive to racism or even slaves of various races
So what do you think? Doe a race exist you would allow to be enslaved, Not date, or even not befriend? I have to say i would have a hard time befriending the warlike race like most Orc or Charr of guild wars but in appearance only thing like tusks and no earthen analog are a turn off.
