My grandpa is pretty racist. He disapproved of me learning Japanese at school because Japanese soldiers killed his grandmother. He doesn't like that I have friends who are Caucasian because they'll apparently never understand my background and culture. I usually don't listen to a word he says, but he gets frustrating when he just goes on and on about this kind of thing, and yet doesn't go out and meet people to prove himself wrong.
Kinda sounds like my grandmother (my fathers mother), but she just has an unexplained hate of "Wogs" and "Micks", must have been a little awkwards seen as my mother's side of the family is Irish o_O Eh, my grandmother is a sour old woman, however i have the firm belief that she'll out live us all, she's already at 89, i have a theory that she is actually an android...

Me, I'm post race. (cookie for reference)

Sadly yes, my mother doesn't like black people. She's very quiet about it and would never say anything in public. But it does make me really angry when she comes home and talks about "there was a huge scary ******". So weird to since she's always preached to me about tollerance, acceptance and how everyone is worth equally. Guess she figured I'm old enough to know her real thoughts now that I'm 22 :p

My best friend is also anti-jews. I grew up with the guy and I have NO idea where he got this from. Been in quite a few fierce arguments about it. It's all bullshit to me, but I do hope I can make them change their opinions.

The only specific example I can think of is one time when we were at my grandparent's house, my mum was talking to my grandmother about Obama (this was 2008) and my grandma says "Shame he's a black feller"...that was quite the ice-breaker.

Aside from that both my grandfathers are migrants and I have alot of relatives still in Croatia and Poland so not a whole lot of racism. In fact ironically enough my grandmother, despite living through World War 2 in Australia, really likes the Japanese, their language, their culture, everything.

My grandpa hates black people. In fact, most of my family is "southern" and most of them hate black people. My mom hates Mexicans. My sisters (russian) boyfriend hates the french. My friend hates Jews. I hate furries.

My mother gets more racist with age. She thinks that life is a constant battle against Muslims, and that Africans are all criminals.

Sigh. It's sad that I have to love her.

If you people don't like it, too bad. Simple. I am honest with it.
It's people like this that i hate. Completely misinformed, and completely lacking the mental faculties needed to filter out information that sounds like bullshit (UUH, 90000% OF MOROCCANS HAVE CRIMINAL RECORDS, DHUURRRRR) and/or understand that humans are individuals, and are, in fact, not connected to some massive racial hive mind that commands them to commit crimes.

If Moroccans are more likely to commit crimes, it's because of their environment, not their ''nature''. Saying that Moroccans are criminals by nature is like saying all Dutchmen are fucking idiots lacking basic intelligence because I've seen one guy who is like that, and heard about Dutchmen being idiots on the news. That isn't true, by the way, i know Dutchmen who are pretty good human beings.
Uhm that 90% is actually true. You can ask it to anyone from Holland, they will pretty much confirm it. Racist? Probably... It doesn't make it less true.

If you live in Holland especially in the city's "Utrecht" and "Gouda" you would understand. Moroccans are aggresive by nature. It is apart of their culture or something. Every Moroccan i have met is aggresive. Even the better ones. And yes, most criminals are from that race in my country. And i can agree with you it is their envirement. But that will mostly be because the other Moroccans created that envirement in the first place.

This is quite common (video below). It is also quite common that these people get away with abusing an officer. Because our laws are fucked up. The police can't do anything because the bureaucratic dickheads in my country don't allow them to mace/tazer people when necesary. The police in my country is a joke, ofcourse i respect them. But these Moroccan assholes know that and exploit it every time. I am not necessarily racist i just hate what these people do, what they are.

They're not, i know that first hand. We had a Moroccan back in elementary, and he graduated with literally the best grades one can have, if i remember correctly. He had the best grades in everything that was graded, or if i remember it wrong, just a shitload of good grades. He completely outclassed all the swedes in his class, and he was a good person, too.

You must be having bad luck with Moroccans, because most Moroccans i've met are good people. But if that's the case, i guess i kind of understand why you feel that way about them... Kind of. I've had bad luck with east Europeans, but i at least know that because a handful of them are idiots doesn't mean they all are. Still, try to get to know some good ones, might change your opinion. And don't listen that much to the media, they never bring up the good things with anything.

Nope and damn proud of it. I am from an awesome Muslim family from Africa. I like to think of us as good examples of how a Muslim should really be since we are all about respect and acceptance of other people and beliefs. I don't mean to brag but even when I am showered with hate (which is often) I remain patient and tolerant; I mean I have even gained respect of some hardcore Muslim haters by being nice.

None that I know of.

Both my mom and my stepfather voted for the party the "Sweden Democrats" this election, which is our own fascist party or w/e, and they often talk about how immigrants are a problem in this country. I don't really mind, since they're right about it in many cases, and I'll rather have racists than socialists in my family.
Though I'm afraid most their ideas are fueled by racism rather than a love for our country. I'm not saying this applies to every member, but some seem to see it as an excuse to be hateful.

They don't label all immigrants as thieves or anything, they do acknowledge the fact that there are many good and law-abiding ones and all. But what they point out is that there are many more crimes that are caused by immigrants, and there are many more of them who just live on social funding rather than doing something for society. I'm not saying that we swedes are innocent in this or anything, or that all immigrants are like this, but it's the whole "why even come here if you're only going to cause trouble" argument.
Yes and I agree with many of their policies. My problem are the racists who hide their hate behind a cover of "love for our country". The core ideas are good but the people they attracts are not. Again, this definitely does not apply to all members.

My mother is racist, in a kind of entertaining British way.

Something goes wrong?

Blame the foreigners.

Personally, I'm more accepting of other cultures...

Or, I try to be anyway.

my Dad's parents are rasist and homophobic but its only within the company of family they let that show. myself and my mother and her side of the family have no problems Race and my dad and sister are more sterotypes then racists (they do have coloured friends).

I'm laid back when it comes to differences, i don't mind racist jokes though as long as they are not against a person i know.

An interesting post. As an Australian we have our fair share of 'racist' quotes and jokes and what not. Most of the time the people who spout them aren't racist, merely emulating my countries bleak and nasty sense of humour.

One time however, when I was in my early teens, I was having lunch with three of my family - My Mum, my Gran and my Aunty Ira who is Sri Lankin. Part of our converation was about one of my cousins who is half caste. My mother was trying to remember how her name was pronounced 'Was it Tamra or Tamara". " It's Tamara. That's the ****** way of saying it" Was my Gran's reply. I must say I was shocked. I was used to rascist jokes and the like, but the venom in my Gran's voice when she dropped the 'N' bomb was palpable. My Aunty Ira - who is as black as the ace of spades - simply laughed it off, how I'll never know.
