Who still listens to the radio? Whether it be in your car, or just in your house? Do you still tune into your favorite stations? Or is the radio getting faded out by the Ipod plug-ins?

I still listen, since I'm too cheap to buy a cassette adaptor for my Ipod, and some stations play new stuff that I wouldn't here anywhere else if I just had my Ipod plugged in all the time. (I haven't used my Ipod in over a year, so...it needs a serious update as well X_x)

I listen to the radio when I'm at work, and sometimes in the car.
I usually listen to CD/mp3 or youtube though.
And my cellphone is filled with music:)

In the car I listen to the radio but never really focus on it.

Other times Iusally iTunes, even though I hate it to bits, when I'm "surfing the net" as they say. Just use my iPod shuffle while shooting (archery), sleeping etc.

I only use radio to wake me up in the morning.
Not for actual listening.
Well, except for the news, maybe.

I listen to Pandora Radio and iTunes Radio because I get to pick the music (to a satisfying extent).

The old-school radio sucks because it's not old-school anymore. Half of the shit they play is just commercials and the other half are songs that play so much that I want to rip my ears out.

I listen to Galaxy News Radio. Does that count?
Epic facepalm on that one, SharPhoe.
That's the reaction I was going for.

To answer the OP for real, though, I don't listen to the radio much, unless I'm in the car with someone else and they've tuned into something. If it's my dad, he'll be tuned into NPR (which I find interesting). If it's my sister, it'll be some rap/hip-hop station (which I immediately tune out with my iPod if able).

I listen to and am a member of my local NPR station, KLCC. I listen almost all the time (when i'm near a radio). I love OPB and NPR, my life would be a lot worse without it. I fall asleep listening to the BBC World Service.

Nuthin wrong with that, GTA has some good mewsiks on it. And hilarity, the talk radio stations.

But yeah, I'd rather listen to CDs and be guaranteed good music. xD

I usually listen to my iPod in the car. And online I use Pandora. I got sick of hearing the same five hellishly boring songs on the "hit" music channel, and the rock channel I got was crap too, so I just started bringing along my own music. Never looked back.

Back home I listen to 94.7 KZND while driving my moms car. I would listen to it in my suburban but the radio/stereo doesnt work (I havent found the problem yet). However that is probably the only time I listen to real radio.

Eughh I hate Melbourne radio, such udder shit. I listen to it a little at work, but that's only becausae the cd player is broken and the people I work with insist on it.
We basicially have 3 channles that are the same (tripple M and the fox are identical, and nova is very similar for the most part, with a few times shows that are different), and two generic "old" music channels (Vega and gold).
As I listen to mostly rock and metal, a little jazz and occasionally classical, I don't have a major channel that even remotely caters to my tastes (I don't even think they are that narrow). I don't even mind listening to a little bet of pop and house, but they literally have 10-20 songs that they play over and over on the new age channels, and the older channels have a tendancy to play far more abba than I'm comfortable with. We really need a solid rock channel.

I subscribe to XM radio, or rather SiriusXM now I guess it is. Admittedly it was better when it was just XM by itself (surprisingly) but I find it better than listening to my MP3 player in the car. Sure I might have 30 gigs of muic, but I've heard it all before. XM is great about delivering new content, months ahead of the clear channel stations, that is if the clear channel stations even get it at all. Not to mention the XM stand-up comedy stations are probably some of the best entertainment you can get.

I don't know if they plan on doing it this year since the merger, but last year XM broadcasted Coachella music festival live over the airwaves, including Radiohead's full hour set. The cost to get into Coachella for one day is more than an entire year of XM. I hope they do it again this year, but I've notied an extreme lack of live concert broadcasts ever since they merged with Sirius. The comedy station used to broadcast hour long live shows on friday nights, but they've stopped that now and replaced it with a replay of Jim Brewer's terrible talk show... ugh.

I listen to the radio in the car however all of the stations play the same music plus work has that one station where 2 people ramble on about how they are perfect and play the same five metallica songs so that kinda ruins all radio for me.
