Big difference. External Radiotherapy treatment, like your great uncle probably had, bombards the skin but doesn't irradiate. Internal Radiotherapy actually leaves an Iodine(?) isotope inside of you which decays over time.

Ahhh I see, I know chemo does some weird things to the body I didn't realize that internal radiothreapy therapy actually took time to break down in the body.My next question if expose a spider to this let said spider bite me could I possible gain super powers?
