I don't remember quit a game because something annoys me or the difficulty is so unfear I get mad and quit. I'm pretty stubborn maybe I quit before rage eat my soul or something, speaking of souls, Demon's souls is a hard game and I haven't finished the game but never rage quit,I just rUN out of strategy sometime is better to stop and later try again.

Have you "rage quit"? I which game/level?

Half the times when I stop playing games it's a ragequit.

Mostly it's when I'm on multiplayer and my death was so bullshit I rage.

For example, last time I played a game (two hours ago), I went into animalistic rage because a Fleshpound (game is Killing Floor) one-hit killed me when I had 60+ health (more than half, I wasn't even considered "critical", rather "injured") left on normal difficulty.

I was playing 1v1 in Bioshock 2 with a friend of mine. We set the kill count to 20 I think. Anyway, I beat him in all three rounds we played and right before I got the last kill in the last round we played, he ragequit and didn't talk to me until the next day, even when I tried to call and see what was up.

He basically said, "I just wanted to win, and I couldn't." I explained to him that it's about adaptability, and I had played multiplayer with him enough to know his play style like the back of my hand. It didn't seem to make him feel any better though. But then when you lose by 10-15 kills, I guess I can't blame him. It's odd though because I'm really much better at the tactical game types like territories and capture the flag than straight up killing people. That's more his area.

I try and avoid rage quitting as much as I can, as it genuinely does nothing for the other players, you aren't helping anyone, you're just being a douche.

However there are times that I've quit in the middle of playing.
-I'm out of time, can't keep playing, have other commitments, gotta go
-I'm getting greifed, some asshole keeps harassing me, refusing to let me play the game.
-Power/network gone, nothing I can do about this one, sorry guys

In multiplayer, only L4D comes to mind - when I'm playing with idiots.
In SP, when a game insults my intelligence and any notions of Immersion by continuing to make me think "WhyTF should I do something like that and - subsequently - WhyTF should I care?". Also, when some task I have to fulfill is a stupid matter of testing my patience by making me .. rinse and repeat. Right now, I'm looking at you, DeadRising2.

I've raged quit on Demon's Souls as well. I think I'm about half way through the game at the moment, I haven't touched in a long timen so I'm guessing. I plan on getting back to that game though. I just had enough of walking down a hallway, get murdered, get past the hallway, get murdered in a room. Wash, rinse, repeat, throw controller, quit game.

Specific instances allude me, but I know it's happened. It requires that an area or level is way too bullshitty to be acceptable. And as I am pretty damn good at games, that requires a high level of bullshit. However, I will NEVER do this around friends. Makes you look bad.

Only L4D2 really makes me rage quit... The absolute dicks on XBL think its a good idea to kick the last man standing (i.e. Me) just because they spent all their time lagging around at the back for no good reason. Well you can't kick me I RAGE QUIT MOFOS!

I rage quit last night at Dragon Age Origins because the final boss killed me 30 + times in a row...

Went back this morning and kicked its arse on the first try. That'll show him!

I can't ragequit multiplayer games. No matter what, I just can't let myself, it is some weird compulsion, I just think: "Man, all these people set time out of their day to play a game, I'd be a jackass if I dropped now."

On single player games I ragequit pretty much constantly, I have little to no patience. Mass Effect makes me rage quit to the point that I've never completed the first one, the reason I rage quit is elevators. If I end up having to travel through about 3 elevators without anything cool happening I can't play the game for at least a week, it makes me WAAAAY too angry.

I rage quit on any of the Civilization series a bit too. If I have >99.99% chance of winning a fight, and if losing have a 60% chance of retreating instead of dying, but I still lose the unit, especially if this is the second time in a row this has happened, I'll rage quit to the point that I can't sit at the computer for an hour or so. I don't know how many times I've had a highly experienced tank (or the equivalent thereof) die to a freshly made archer/axeman/etc. Civ5 uses different ways of showing you your chances in a fight, but on the harder difficulties those too pretty much constantly lie, on Immortal 3 out of 5 "Decisive Victory" battles are most likely going to result in death. I understand there is always a chance of failure, which I like, but it is pretty much statistically impossible to get that <0.01 chance roll twice if not thrice in a row. Civilization, making the impossible possible.

I love both of those games, though they are also the games that make me the most angry.

Last rage quit I did? Lost Planet 2, end of the third episode were you are essentially trying to kill a sand wurm from Dune with a giant cannon on a train. Anyways it's a pretty long fight, somewhat exciting, but maybe a bit tedious just because the process of reloading that cannon is such a *****. So the fight goes on for over an hour, and I finally get him down to the "one more hit!" range. I hop back in the cannon, aim at one of his last weakspots, and while I do this it slowly kinda bumps into the train, the screen flashes red, and tells me I failed the mission. Now, let it be known that I had just flushed coolant, so the gun was in no danger of over-heating, I had plenty of "battle gauge" left...the game just decided "NAH BRO, YOU LOST THIS FIGHT" for fuck all.

I have yet to play the game since, and I will probably trade it in towards dragon age 2.

Me? Rage-quit? Never! I would never rage quit ever, not even when playing with a certain group of people(they know who they are).

Multiplayer, many times. Either because the guy that killed me used some cheap as gun or that he got around 400 ms and refuse to leave the server T.T"
