Raging out over a game.

Yesterday I was playing gears of war 3's horde mode, trying to get the "Welcome to Horde" achievement by myself. I was doing fairly well until the boss wave which I failed so hard at. Either getting squashed by beserkers, grinded by grinders, or blown up but boomers. I was near the edge of entirely rage-quiting and was out cussing and beating myself with the controller.
Example of how much the game hates me: Killed a brumak with a oneshot and a few boomshots and as it exploded another appeared right behind it which immediately killed me (and yes, it was a confirmed kill).
Anyways, I finally triumphed when it spawned the gunker bosses and I killed the last 2 with just a lancer and was so happy.

So has anyone had these 'fits' because of getting Pwned hard? If so, what about?

You know, you could just play one round online and get it easy.

I remember raging quite a bit when trying to earn the 'Mother Goose' achievement for Bioshock 2. Eventually I managed to capture a little sister, then another, then another.

Easy once you get the hang of it.

OT: Dead or Alive 4, the fight against Alpha 152. I know bosses are meant to be hard, but when they can blow away half your health with an unescapable attack, while your character just sits there, that's like getting your leg ripped off and being kicked in the balls with it.

The Battlefield 3 beta, a week or two ago. The worst possible combination for me to encounter in any fps, proning-camping-snipers-inside a hedge.......ugh, so many foul words uttered.

Meh, I've got too much to be mad about, it's pointless getting all angry over a game. If I fail, it's my fault. I just get frustrated and maybe neglect a game until it decides to stop being so anally hard.

i literally just came of gears 3 from raging, some **** kept one shotting me with his gnasher from far away when i could only get hitmarkers, i dont know if he was cheating but a few people were complaining about it

Lol, oddly enough Alma was never very tough for me, although I guess I was kinda in the zone when I beat her. I finally managed to beat those damn fish, using the dragon sword. Flying Swallow for the win.

I used to have many hissy fits awhile ago, breaking controllers and key boards every couple of months. Most of the time it was because of stupid mistakes I made in SSB Melee and Lineage 2, I just couldn't control myself. Has anyone seen the computers get lucky or pull of something really clever and it just makes you want to go BULLSHIT!!!

Over the last 5 years I have been able to just walk away for a bit and come back to finish it. Don't know why I get so angry, must be because I'm so competitive, or stupid.

CoD:WaW - 2nd last level (trying to take out the 88's) on Veteran...Was at that part for a total of 16 hours over 2 consecutive days...Enemy grenade spam + poorly placed checkpoints + Sniper accuracy MP40's = RAAGGGEEE!

I have rage quited out of almost EVERY GAME i have ever played at least once,
The first time i got to the city in dead island (single player),
Losing my first 5 games in TF2,
When a level 45 bad guy beat up my level 30 party of 4 in dungeon siege,
Those are just a few examples,and most of the time my rage quit is i pout for a 5 minutes then i try again.

God of War 2 (or was it the first one?) - Climbing the blade walls in Hades.
Conkers Bad Fur Day - The Matrix section and the Nazi gun turret corridor.
Jak 2 - The entire game. It's the only game I ever gave up on completing.

Thankfully, the wisdom of getting older means I don't really rage out anymore, I usually just swear under my breath; although Dead Island is currently doing its best to rage the shit out of me. 'Get knocked down, stand up, get knocked down, stand up, dead, respawn, get knocked down, stand up...'
