I agree with orannis62. My parents let me drink before our legal age(16), but has set limits and rules for it, to regulate it and teach me responsible alcohol consumption. It has turned out fine.
I agree with Longshot completely and I mean no offense to him but this is why I don't watch talkshows which is because of the metaphorical public lynchings that they become. Then again this sort of thing happens all the time where the masses will believe the "victims" because they seem like they are "victims" who are "victimized". The average person doesn't want to hear the whole story and will never ask why as they are content to hear one side and as long as it's the "victim"'s side then it's got to be the right side. Oddly enough those who seem like they are the "victim" are sometimes the perpetrator.
ok the drinking age in the states varies, 21 is accepted ALTHOUGH you can drink under certain circumstances when you're under 21
as for Dr Phil, he does hold a degree in psychology, whether he's practicing is another story. the main thing for his "morals" is that he's from the south, aka the bible belt, most of the ppl in the bible belt think drinking is VERY wrong and sex is VERY wrong. there's a lot of girls who grow up in that area that saddleback because of the views on sex in that area
so he has that view on what she did, which really isn't that bad, because she was making sure her kids were at least safe. as for the mom lying about stuff, gauge her responses, if asked questions there's a direct response and not a question, tho sometimes clarification can be ok but not typically
i don't mind Dr Phil sometimes but other times when he tries to impose his southern morals on him it's a bit much

Oh, I take no offence. I don't watch talkshows either. I think this is the first time I have ever watched on in full, and that was becuase I was really hoping that some time it would turn around. 'Cause he was making an idiot of himself.
