I wanted to try and get some Amiibos starting on Monday. The Target I work at never got any Rosalinas. Though I was able to snatch Toon Link along with Bowser. The Gamestop behind the Target I work at was fortunate enough to have one last Kirby and Samus which I grabbed along with making sure my Shulk pre order from XMas is still alive. Unfortunately, both stores only carry Mario and Luigi.
They are also the only stores that carry them within a 10 mile radius. A Target I worked at and the Gamestop near it both have the same issue. I decided to contact Nintendo the same day I got Toon Link asking if they'll be rereleasing non Mario ones telling them my issue. It took them till yesterday on Friday to send me this:
Hello,
Thanks for writing. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to locate some of your favorite amiibo. amiibo are sold at a variety of different retailers; if you haven't yet already done so, please expand your search. For help, check the following website for a list of stores that sell amiibo:
http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/buynow/
For those amiibo which are exclusive to a particular retailer, you can click on the individual amiibo in the Lineup section and then click on the "Find a Retailer" button to see which retailer it is.
I should also point out that some amiibo were very popular at launch, and it is possible that some amiibo in the United States, Canada and Latin America may not be available right now due to high demand and our efforts to manage shelf space during the launch period. Certain sold-out amiibo may return to these markets at a later stage. We are continually aiming to always have a regular supply of amiibo in the marketplace and there are many waves of amiibo to come. The distribution and availability of amiibo in other regions around the world may be different.
I wish you the best of luck in your search!
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.
