So I was thinking about this primarily in relation to people of African descent, but it can apply to almost every ethnic group. I was reading this article about black characters in games, and in looking at a lot of characters who are black or have descended from a black person there's always something kinda odd...I notice I never see any "curly/kinky" hair types. Even with other ethnicity I never see curly hair.

I was wondering if it was a design thing. Looking at sims mods the poly count with more "textured" "curly" hair tends to be higher, same with braids. So I wondered if it was just a matter of trying to make things more efficient. Does anyone know if that is the case or is it something else? (Like just not knowing how to make the texture look good or correct)

I really got into thinking about it with my Bioware characters, all tend to be black females. Nothing wrong with straight hair, but I dunno I like options and it always seemed kinda odd. I would probably just end up with a few characters who look and sound like Cree Summer >.>

Sahz says wut?

But maybe you're on to something for the most part. Never really cared enough to look further into it.
I know but that is one example. Furthmore while the fro is ok, heck I had a pretty big ass 'fro until yesterday...The fro is the most common example...but there are many other styles involving curly hair
