There are no muscles in your fingers just tendons controlled by the muscle in your hand so no matter how much you work out your fingers technically never get any stronger

--- The defining feature of a black hole, the event horizon, is a surface in spacetime that marks a point of no return. Once an object has crossed this surface there is no way that it can return to the other side. Consequently, anything inside this surface is completely hidden from observers outside. Other than this the event horizon is a completely normal part of space, with no special features that would allow someone falling into the a black hole to know when he would cross the horizon. The event horizon is not a solid surface, and does not obstruct or slow down matter or radiation that is traveling towards the region within the event horizon.

[li]William Shakespeare was 46 when the King James Bible was published. In that bible, in Psalm 46, the 46th word in is "shake" and the 46th word from the end is "spear". This is because he was called upon to help write the translation, and slipped his name in as a bit of a joke, for which he was well known at the time.[/li][/li]
I love pointing out this little oddity to mess with people, but alas, he wasn't one of the translators.

Marie Curie's papers are considered too dangerous to be viewed. In order to read the originals, one must wear protective clothing to avoid radioactive contamination.

There is no law that makes blowing up a nuclear bomb a crime. This is because everyone figured that no one would actually be stupid enough to detonate one.
There is actually a town in California where you can be fined $500 for detonating a nuclear bomb. Seriously, $500.

Here is another fact, spider silk is so strong that if it could be made as thick as a pencil, it could stop a Boeing 747 in mid-flight.

black holes don't actually suck you in. It's just the gravity of it pulling you in because it has the same mass (size? can't fully recall) as the star it was originally made from

I thought I read somewhere that the peace sign came from Semaphore. It has either A, D, G, K, N, or V. It could be N and D for No Death.
You know, I might have gotten that from Snopes. Hm. I still like semaphore better than creepy toten runes.

What do you mean by this? If a 747 flew into a fence made of pencil-spider-silk, then would it be stopped?
