Random ideas for video games

I'll say a random video game idea off the top of my head, then you reply saying if you would play it or not, and why. Then you make a game idea, and the next person replies.

You play as a world famous ping pong player who just wants to retire. But do to his contract forcing him to work for years to come, he must find ways to become worse so he gets fired from his people. It starts off simple, train by eating fatty foods, sitting on your ass, hurting your hands. Then challenge hard players in the begging so you have more of a chance to loose, and by the end your fighting the worse players ever, making it hard to loose. And you must make your loss is believable, or the mob will kill you.

(and if you want you can reply to another persons idea that isn't before yours...because I want more opinions)

Dunno...it'd be hard to pull off.

My idea was that you play as a catgirl, during a period of fursecution. Catgirls are being rounded up, and sent to internmnet camps. You have to escape, and make it to a country where catgirls aren't being fursecuted (so much).

Only it turns out that the catgirl nation have elected a fascist dictator that's pledged to exterminate the lesser species, and declared war on the nation you were in, and you'd been locked up as an illegal alien.

Nazi catgirls/fursecution...what's not to like?

sounds Like it would make a decent flash game, or maybe a little indie title on the Xbox arcade or psn.
I figure I would make a second-person perspective game where the main character is blind and must see through the eyes of enemies, animals, and other things in the environment.

Well, it would be an excuse for hilarious propaganda. Superman appearing in comics entitled "slap a catgirl", petrol rationing posters encouraging people to carpool "If you ride alone, you ride with a catgirl" and so on.

Actually, that might be a cool gimmick...though, hard to make it different from 3rd person with weird camera angles. Oh...maybe certain animals see in different wavelengths, detect motion better, stuff like that.

A game that has you hunt down people that put down games. For example, certain psychologists and lawyers. Possibly news stations.

And it has to be done in the most gruesome way possible.
Sexual references must be made.
Oh yeah, a sex scene containing side boob and butt must be present.

Then, after completing the game it has to say, "Go to the people you made to kill in the game and tell them that you don't want to kill them or rape them anymore because you got it all out of you through the game.

:)

The year is 2011, the world is very dangerous place. As the fragments of the former soviet union slide deeper and deeper into chaos The forces of crime and terror expand to fill the vacuum. There is war in the Balkans, war in the Middle East, war in a dozen hot spots around the globe. Outnumbered and under siege, the Western democracies desperately struggle to keep the growing disorder from spinning across their borders. On the front lines of this strange war is the counter terrorism task force code named RAME. Operating out of bases on both sides of the Atlantic, RAME operatives are poised to strike at a moments notice, any where on the globe. Although there existence is secret, their combined courage and vigilance have saved the lives of millions. Yet even now a new enemy looms in the East. An enemy greater than any RAME has ever faced. An enemy able to strike when and where he pleases. An enemy bound only by his own hated and ambition. An enemy armed with the most fearsome weapon known to man.

How is that for a plot starter?

wait...

second person is from "your" perspective, the actual you. Technically that wouldn't be 2nd person...but the idea is pretty good

I imagine that certain animals could see in Black and White and others, with thermal vision as well as a feature that allows full camera control if you injure an enemy into an out-of-body experience. And finally a way to see in a 360 degree view by taking a quick image around you that is then stretched into a long 2d path, that you can shot enemies on, or to really confuse reality, platform across before the game turns back to 3-d.
It's a bit hard to explain but I think it would be a fun experiment.

A multiplayer shooter like CoD but with one big twist....
When you get killstreaks instead of something boring like air support or a helicopter, it's more about making the other team rage quit.
If you get 3 kills, you can force an enemy player to watch mudkipz. After 5 kills,2 girls 1 cup. After 7 kills,Justin Bieber music video clip. It will all be in picture and picture so you can keep playing.
You can also raise morale to your own team by giving them a song. After 3 kills, you can make your teammate listen to The Eye of the Tiger. After 5 kills,Final Countdown. After 7 kills,The Trololo song.

I like it, but it sounds like it could turn into an excuse for crappy camera angles adding fake difficulty.

A 2-player platformer/rhythm game taking place on a music staff. One player creates the platforms using music and the other one uses them to reach the end.

It'll never sell, nobody would believe it. :p

How's this for a game idea? It's building cities. Lay roads, zone land, set up police and fire departments, provide electricity, keep crime, pollution, and such at bay, make sure there's affordable housing for all segments of society, and do all this within a tight budget because raising taxes will make people move out of town.

Sound like fun?

Well, a bit of innovation couldn't hurt. I remember a bit if Deathgate (I think) where you possessed a dog and only saw in black and white 9though dogs can see colours).

To be really weird, it might be cool to be able to represent other senses as well...to be able to "see" scent trails, better hearing when using certain animals, etc.

Laura Croft's Tomb Reparations, you play a member of the archeological community who hunts down Laura in order to make her pay for the countless relics she's destroyed, and the endangered species she made extinct.

not exactly, first person=you yourself, Third person=unseen, not part of environment Second-person=someone in the environment that is not you, so the way I could explain this would be like controlling your character by looking at your friend's screen in multilayer.

Yea, I would play that but, it would depend on what kind of game its gonna be. (fps? over the shoulder? 3rd person?)

My idea would be... You wake up from a normal sleep just like any other day but, nobody is in sight. Everything seems in place however, you feel as though just something (except the fact that there's no one around) is out of place, sort of obscure. You then proceed out, trying to connect with anything (cellphone doesnt dial, internet is down *OMG!!*) Looking out the window, it just looks as though everybody left in a sort of hurry (front doors left swinging open, only one or two cars are in sight). Outside, the whole place is deserted then suddenly, you see a casted shadow of something bolt off into the train station, underground subway and decide to follow it...

from here on its sort of improv. Anyway the game would be played in 3rd person and the player is able to switch to 1st person at any point in the game. Genre would most likely be puzzle and survival horror and no, it wont try to be an Amnesia.

A nerdy guy somehow, some way beds the mob bosses' beautiful daughter. While he wants to go through the shotgun wedding, the don wants him dead, and order an increasingly derange group of people to hunt him down.

Hilarity ensues.

Ok here is one

you know how the AI and the things NPC's do in oblivion it tends to be rather uncanny, escpecially the random NPC chatter

"I saw a mudcrab the other day"
"go away!"
"I saw a mudcrab the other day"
"good day"

well what if it was actually a plotpoint/twist? you start playing this standard fantasy game, just like oblivion then your charachter notices things are quite off and its reveiled the world is artificially created and the the NPC's are all trapped in their cycles...like that trainqulity lane part of Fallout 3

it could get really mind screwy where oyu charachter fights off the people in charge
