Why on earth is it that the word "random" seems to be constantly used by every one. EVERYONE!!
Its being thrown about whenever the speaker gets a chance, its being used like th word "fuck" in an american 80's cop film.

what happened to it just being a mundane and functional word, and now its being used so much (mainly by teenaged girls with IQ's no higher than their age) and its beggining to get infuriating.

why is this happening.

I started to use it more frequently when I played Dota, because of some of the random modes. I started to say it more and more, and my mates also began saying it.

It's like this with many words, Douche has also become a often used word, and i'd barely ever heard anyone say it before 5 years ago.

I was given this name by my gamer friends for reasons only known to them - I am not an advocate of it's use in this particular way. Yes, it is irritating when used constantly. I never use it myself, unless referring to something that requires the word by definition.
