I wants her too Since I moved out I've been missing my pets more and more. Now I understand that I do not want to live without a dog or a cat. Show us pictures of your doggie if you can!
Another picture of Rosie and my other dog, Regan, just because they look happy and adorable and I miss them so much D:
Aw, does you dog run away from dogs slightly bigger? Rosie has the problem where she will run and hide from any dog at all that she's never seen before, even dogs that are smaller!
Haha, Regan's mane does make him look very regal, though it's near on constantly tangled with drool. That dog is food orientated. He's quite an old boy now, about 12 years old. He still acts like a puppy though.
Show us more pictures of your doggies! We must spread more doggie love!
He's seven now, but that pic (and the two that didn't work) was taken when he was about 3 iirc, probably need some more recent pictures
As embedding pictures doesn't seem to like me atm, I'm afraid you'll have to slum it with a link for more doggy goodness

Oh wow, those are really great quality photos! I love them! All of those doggies are gorgeous! I love the last one, he looks so happy with his treat! I really only use my photobucket for animals, so here is mine, for you or for anyone to look through for doggie goodness and cats, puppy pictures and a few hamster pictures!

We (or my animal-loving dad) took in a hedgehog with ticks. We killed a good lot of them off thanks to advice from some animal protection people, but sadly, he passed away after about a month. He was a cute little guy, not very used with people, though, so more than a tad nippy. You could scratch his back for a bit when he was distracted by some mincemeat, but you'd need to pull away quick because he'd always try and bite your fingers. We nicknamed him "Redgehog" or "Reginald" just because it sounded funny.
There was also a couple of times we helped injured birds. I also raised a caterpillar into a moth, once. We have pets, now, though, two lovely bunnies and a cat. We got them all as young 'uns. They're no more than a year older or younger than each other.
Oh man. Oh man.
I can't take this thread anymore. Too much cute. I'm going to have a meltdown.
I've always wanted to have a dog. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to them. And cats. And Guinea Pigs. And Rabbits. And... Just about every other furred animal on this planet, except cows.
I'm jealous of you people.

OH NO IT'S ADORABLE
Reminds me of my family's dog when she was a puppy.
She's a labrador/huskie/rottweiler mix we got as a teeny pup from the SPCA. The cat was a stray we adopted off the street, after our upstairs neighbours fed her and she wouldn't leave us alone. She's an old lady now (maybe as old as 15). The dog's gonna be 12 soon.
Tayh: Pigs, along with being smarter than dogs, are hypoallergenic. Which means people who are allergic to other animals generally aren't allergic to pigs. They're also super cute, though possibly a bit higher maintenance than other pets.
More of a cat person myself (though my family had an Irish Setter while I was growing up), but I absolutely hate people who just get a pet only to abandon it when they please.
Last year my sister's car (with two small children in the back) hit a dog running across the highway, causing her vehicle to flip over and end up in the ditch next to the road. Luckily none of them were hurt seriously, but police tracked down the (dead) involved dog and said it was most likely a dropped pet, as they get multiple animal-related accidents a year during the holiday season due to animals dropped next to the road on the way to vacation.
It just sickens me how people buy a dog or cat just to abandon it when the animal grows up and it isn't "cute" anymore.
On another note for dogs though, it also annoys me how a number of people keep agressive and often untrained animals to "guard" their property. When I go running through my village (which has non-existent crime rates) I'm frekking afraid to get jumped by a number of agressive hounds my size that are only restrained by a waist-high fence and show every intention to rip my throat out.
He doesn't initially run away. What he likes to do is charge at them barking like crazy. If the dog snaps back and he's not being protective of me or his 'sister' he conveniently finds something interesting in the opposite direction and leaves the dog alone. If the dog backs down or cowers he keeps it until I tell him to knock it off. If the dog just ignores him he keeps barking until the dog wanders off and then parades around like he's hot shit and told the other dog off. He tries to act tough and he's got a big sounding bark but as soon as another dog calls his bluff he folds.
The middle dog in this one is a year old Chiweenie (Chihuahua Dachshund) named Chief we fostered for almost six months. We could only ever get two out of the three looking at us at a time:
