i will most likely be buying this for the UYA multiplayer seing as i own everygame in the series but still this is awesome now all of the ps2 classic trilogys (jak sly and ratchet) are

Also, Deadlocked is somewhat the black sheep. The reception among fans is somewhat polar because of how different the game was to the others. Might be a similar reason that Jak X wasn't on the Jak and Daxter collection. There is a greater focus on combat than collecting and platforming. The tone is also a lot darker without a lot of the light humor. It also had co-op and multiplayer and I hear a lot of people weren't as pleased with it compared to UYA's. With a few exceptions (like the scorpion flail), the game lacks any meaty weapons. Mostly it's your classic blaster-shottie-bomb-rocket-turret affair.
Though personally, I liked Deadlocked. One of the weaker ones, but still good. Miles better than All 4 One. At least Deadlocked was still functional and enjoyable alone.

I suspected the reception of it's mechanics might have had something to do with it. I barely saw any footage of the game but I could tell it was turning into a more dark franchise than when I was playing it. Also, at a demo kiosk I saw the weapons and I kinda got that feeling of the motions when seeing someone else playing.Raggedstar said:

ive always loved the ratchet and clank games. my faveourite so far was either 3 or gladiator, but i havent played many of the newer ones. no ps3
YES! I'd forgotten how badly I wanted this until I saw this article. Back when they gave Sly Cooper the same treatment, I was scratching my head and wondering what was taking Ratchet & Clank.
Ah I fucking love this series. Own everything but going commando, which I always borrowed from a friend.
