Basically, because I'm a jammy bastard, I've been given a brand spanking new laptop! Now, I'm not very tech-knowledgeable, so I was wondering what you clever bunch thought of it...

I didn't have any hand in buying this and I haven't bought a new laptop in about 6 years, so I have bugger all knowledge on them. Well, it seems to be running Empire Total War pretty well on low settings, so it's good enough for me.

So, good laptop? Pile of shit?

Well free is always a good price (that I am afriad is the extent of my knowledge of computers).

Looks fine for a general use laptop. Don't expect to game on it. Even if it was crappy...free tends to win out.

Yeah it's a decent laptop but it has an integrated graphics card, you won't exactly be blown away by its graphical capabilities. Other than that it's good, just not for gaming.

Free makes it a whole bucket load better though
