Fans of Rayman have decided to start a petition after the dely of Rayman Legends. The petition, as of writing, has reached almost 9,400 signatures. Link: http://www.change.org/petitions/ubisoft-entertainment-s-a-keep-to-the-original-rayman-legends-release-date-for-the-wii-u

I've read it, thought it over, and decided to sign it. On one hand, I understand that Ubisoft wants to a) allow more people to play it and b) to get more money. While Console exclusive games like Halo, Gears of War, Uncharted, and God of War do sell very well, games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Borderlands, and Assassin's Creed have a much better chance to sell more as they reach a wider audience and , in the case of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Assassin's Creed, have proven to sell more. However, On the fans (and developers) side, The game is practically done. Why not release it now and then release it on 360 and PS3. On top of that, the 4th quarter is where all the biggest games are released. With GTA 5 and the new Call of Duty coming out this year, and probably some of the other Wii U games nintendo announced, and Ubisofts decision to release Rayman Origins on the same day Saints Row: The Third, Halo Anniversary, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Mario and Sonic, and for $60, it would make sense for the game to be released on the Wii U first, so it can make money, then work on the 360 and PS3. But, that's my two cents

Thoughts? Wanna sign?

Nope. I'm willing to give this game all the time it needs to be good. I'd like to let them polish it. Although i do agree selling it during that time will result in low sales.

Now, talking as a 100% neutral guy here (ALl I know about rayman are the first plaaystation titles, no idea about the Rayman origins and now legends thing), but, as far as I know, the game is ALREADY done. As in, 100% "polished", as you say. At least the WiiU version. They are not going to polish the game any more, it is ALREADY DONE. The problem here is than the delay comes from getting the (suppused) inferior PS3/Xbox 360 versions to launch at the same time than the already done WiiU...

Or so I have heard. If thats how it works, then theres not much excuse to use...

That begin said, yeah It dosnt makes much sence to me either. Especially because, lets face it, the PS3/Xbox 360 crown are not exactly interested in Rayman stuff games... to be fair I would even say this to a lesser extent concerning the WiiU crew as well... with GTA V and possibly more stuff coming on those days, who the **** is going to even notice Rayman in the first place? Even if they would actually prefer him before GTA V, it just would go unnoticed until its too late...

I signed, mainly because I'm a bit pissed off that it's sitting there good and ready for the Wii U and the only reason it isn't out because they want a "simultaneous multi-platform release", and they've decided to delay it to the stupidest possibly time putting it up against some big hitters, like they fucked over Rayman Origins.

I signed a different version of the Petition, because there's at least 3 of them from what I've seen. But I definitely signed a petition for it.

I'm not the biggest fan of petitions, but at least this one is a little more civil, asking for a finished game to be released, as opposed to a more hostile demand like demanding the game be pulled from shelves or going to a federal agency to complain over an ending.

I'm not going to sign it, I think it's a waste of time, but at least this one's not only harmless like every other petition, but this one actually has a point behind it.

That being said, you know what would get me to sign it? If Micheal Ancel signed it. Or if a bunch of Ubisoft devs signed it. Official recognition and support and having a rallying point and all that good stuff. Much stronger message.

It's gone gold, their reason for the delay is literally "We want a simultaneous release"
