I just got my magazine of "Gamer" (Best Buys gaming magazine which I don't remember signing up for it but I got it anyway.) and I got a cupon for $20 off Red Dead Remption, and I have gotten it yet so I am deciding whether or not to get it so I got some questions:

1. Do ppl play online of it still on PSN (I care more for the single-player but I still want to play multi-player)

2. How long is the single-player?

3. Is their lots to do in the game?

4. Is the ps3 port good?

5. Does it have an install? Becuase I don't have much space left and I need some for Castle Crashers tomorrow. (never mind found out what it is, only 600 MB, luckily its small.)

1: Yes. Its a high-profile game, it'll have a community. Can't say it'll be a good one though.
2: I'd say roughly 30 hours depending whether or not you have some fun between the missions.
3: Oh hell yes.
4: Same as the 360 version give or take some negligible differences.

Hope that helps.

You must be quick, when I arrived in Blackwater I had over 2 days playtime because there were so many fun things to do that I had no hurry to follow the story.

Yeah if you play it straight through, like only the story missions it takes about 30 hours.

I think I remember hearing about a lot more glitches (of the unenjoyable kind) for the PS3 version. It's probably been patched though.

I have both versions, and the 360 version is much better looking and I feel more comfortable controlling it. That said, I completed the PS3 version first, and it was still an awesome experience (though I had to play with some of the video options to make the graphics not look washed out on my TV).

It's 15 hours to run through the story, but there's TONS of side stuff to do.

Yep. When you get to the menu screen it gives you a choice between single player or multiplayer.

I'll just add that I finally picked this up last week. I was holding out for a PC release but couldn't wait any longer.

It is awesome. Just a truly stunning game.

Yeah, there's people often online even at extreme hours in the morning, it's pretty shocking. Might take you a while to find a public game with the right amount of people in though.

2. How long is the single-player?
If I recall correctly there is 56 missions, some shorter than others. I'd say altogether it would take 15-20hours depending on how long you spend doing side stuff.

3. Is their lots to do in the game?
There's plenty of minigames, and as I mentioned before you can pick up strangers quests which give you extra things to do during the game. There's also job, wanted posters etc. Plenty to do if you just want a break from doing the main missions.

4. Is the ps3 port good?
I've completed both the 360 and PS3 version, and honestly, the port is pretty sloppy in comparison. The problems with the port don't affect the gameplay in most cases, it still plays perfectly fine. However the differences are noticable, which is pretty sad considering they apparently had another team working on the PS3 version side by side the 360 version. Given the choice, the 360 version is better, however, if you only have a PS3. Don't let the flaws of the port stop you from buying the game.
