Okay, so here's the deal. I was playing Red Dead Redemption today, just messing about on Hardcore Freeroam when I had an interesting idea; "What if I went through a gang hideout with only two weapons?
It was pretty fun, if a bit challenging, especially for distances, since I only had my Double Action Revolver and my Sawn off Shotgun on me at the time.
Anyway, I got through the Fort Mercer hideout and I found myslef having a lot of fun, so I decided to expand this idea.
So here's the rules for a RDR Nuzlocke style game.
- You are only allowed three weapons, one pistol, one long-gun (shotgun or rifle) and one thrown weapon.
- You can only pick from the weapons you have unlocked. If you pick up a new weapon, you can choose to swap for that rifle and you can't swap back, or you can keep your current gun.
- Only Hardcore aiming is allowed.
- No Deadeye permitted, not even for finding guys.
- Turn off your waypoints and minimap in the Options menu.
- If you die, that's it. You must exit the server and start again.
So that's it, the goal is basically to get as high of a score as you can without dieing and when you die, it's over.
So tell me what you guys and gals think. Is it a good idea, bad idea, is it too hard, too easy, etc.
Just try it out and report back if you can. Any ideas and suggestions are more than welcome.
