I just want people to see this supposed real video of a guy with some metal. It's a Hang [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hang_drum]

This made me want to ask about:
Is it better real or is it fake?

Affects added after-wards? Probably.

Real talent that doesn't rely on an A.I.? Priceless.

This video aside... What has been more mind-blowing for you? Real, or Fake?

Please be open while attempting to decide what this thread is about.

Posting a video or link to show your choice is preferred.

Thanks wimp dot guys.

Thanks first post ('Aredor) for the correct name of the instrument and link.

It's a Hang [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hang_drum], I see no reason why to believe it's a fake, just the other day I accidentally made a singing sound very much like that just by pulling a pot over the edge of a table. Just appreciate the beauty of it and stop worrying.

As for your discussion-value-question, If I see something incredible, it's more mind-blowing if it's actually real than if it turns out to be a fake, if that's what your asking.

A Hang can produce some brilliant music.

Particularly if the pot is the right size, shape and material.

This guy has made quite a good effort. Definitely real.

It's real.

No effects.

Fake blows my mind a lot more than real, because fake takes more behind-the-scenes work. Musical skill is nice and all, but the amount of canny deception used to make a convincing forgery can sometimes be nothing short of stunning.

Man, watch F for Fake and then start this discussion. That whole film was basically a giant Orson Welles clusterfuck of bizarre greatness.

Shame those Hangs are pretty hard to buy and if you even manage to find one on sale they are damn expensive. Same issue with Chapman Sticks starting at 2000 $ for a 10 string one.

Real, the guy's just a good hang drummer. I've seen these being played live, they're definitely real.

Real. REAL. I do something like this, but nowhere NEAR this amazing! I'm new at it but I know how it works. This guy has TONS of practice.
