ok, so I got this Idea after watching the new Zero Punctuation episoden and reading the Reallife quicksave topic here on the forum
Quicktime events, I can't stand them! most of you can most likely agree with me on this point! And our fellow british friend with the hat hates them!
(Bet my hat is cooler but I am not here to talk fashion nor about british game rewievers talking faster than hell on rollerblades!)

Anyway, to the point:
Real life quicktime events!
imagine: you are walking down a road and then a car comes right at you! then a big shiny button popps up in front of you and you have short time to push it enough times for the car to miss! this would take the consept to a new stage wouldn't it? though it would suck.

Do you guys have any other fun ideas about how the world would have been if we took some stuff from games and put them to reality? Dark eco from Jak, Deathclaws from Fallout, Headhoppers from Halo or the energy drink form Team fortress2? let us have it!

Uhm. We have them. The traffic light. You have to press the button (no, don't depend on those idiots on the other side - they are blind), or you will wait half a minute before passing. And you still have to press it, anyway.

Actually, it might be quite good...

Consider for a moment, the advantages of a 'press X not to die' function, that allowed you to, as you said, dodge cars. A power like this would make survival near guaranteed.

This is assuming, of course, that after pressing the button, you automatically dodged. If you had to press the button, then dive out of the way with the chance of death remaining, it would just suck

V.A.T.S in fallout and PLasmids would be good additions to real life. Save points and respawns would be good, but only for me.

Tap X button to pee. Failure results in missing the bowl.
Warning, you have been afflicted with constipation, complete the following sequence to fire out:
X  X X R1 R1 O X L2
You have insufficient toilet paper, tap O to scream for assistance.

Yeah, I'm done.

That video was just bad. This is better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0nfFEAp_Lo

On topic - QTE's in real life would have helped my really bad reflexes quite alot. Assuming they aren't as bad as certain games.

Sure

Press X to succeed in Job-Interview.

DONE!

Edit:
Yeah, the ability to save and load (Post-Mortem) would be cool.

I'd love save points...and a reset button would be good too. Quicktime events no...well unless I was cooking or taking a test. Then if I fail I hit reset and try again lol.
