The Slightly Irrelevant Story
Last night I was playing solitaire and failing horribly. Out of 43 games, I won only two.
Wrap your mind around that number. I don't think it'll take very long.

Anyway, after losing over 30 games in a row, I started doubting myself. I started listening to Cannibal Corpse to fit my mood. The minute I switched, I won a game. Granted, I started losing again right after. This didn't bother me, though. Mostly, it helped me remember how much I like Cannibal Corpse.

The Main Point
What's the heaviest / darkest / most brutal music you've ever heard? Links are nice, but not required.

Allow me to set the bar for all three.
Heavy
Dark
Brutal

I've never been one to stand Cannibal Corpse, but this song has grown on me-

You mean heavy or brutal? Because, for example, bands like Meshuggah can be really heavy, but not really brutal, whereas whole gringcore scene is about pushing brutality limits.

Like, this is what I would say is heavy (in a good way)
Meshuggah - In Death - Is Life/In Death - Is Death

And this is what I would call brutal
Last Days Of Humanity - A Divine Proclamation Of Finishing The Present Existence

the heaviest song I listen to is roses on white lace by Alice Cooper, which probably doesn't even register on most of your guys' scales.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5eFk5x0o44 that is fuckin' BRUTAL, but i don't listen to AC, i prefer Nahash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PxOUkXZumY Occult Black Metal from Kaunas, Taake sound dark to me, Burzum is so atmospheric that i can not call it brutal, our band is not brutal though. and this is for brutaliness again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USQe7ZvjJ4U this band have some great songs, but this don't count, also Gorgoroth taking place for most awesome video ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFn26ntmSsg this is brutal and not overdone, even it's harmonic at the same time (gaahl looks like jesus)

Hah, this guy is incredible. I sent one of his tracks to a friend a few years ago, but forgot to warn him to turn the speakers down before playing it. He actually fell out of his chair at the noise of it... good times.

I dunno, I'm not massively into extreme metal and such, but I reckon this is pretty good for covering dark and brutal in one swipe:
