So I thought it'd be easy to do a favor for my boss (an indep. pharmacist) and go on google (he's not too pc-savy) to look up 'reviews' and whatnot for two cash-registers. He's debating between the two, and isn't really sure which one is the 'better deal'. Man, I thought it'd be simple. I mean...on the Internet there are 'reviews' for games, cars, gas-stations even, computer parts, albums, etc. etc.

But nothing for these cash registers! Seriously, try googling them. I'm comparing these two:

1. PaladinPOS (the overall better quality, but more expensive)
2. flexTRAX solutions (the economy solution)

The only thing I can really find are their core websites, but you know how -that- goes ("hohoho, our product is the best! NO DOUBT!! BUY BUY!"). And just a note out there: I guess these aren't your average 'cash registers'; they are registers specifically made for pharmacies.

So yeah...I had to resort to this thread. It's like...my only hope (Escapist community is probably the most intelligent forum group I am aware of for 'general topics'). Hoping I'll run into another independent Pharmacist?! (heh). Or just some expert who knows -where- I could go to compare these two registers? As of now, google just gives me junk...kind of out of options

Thanks!

sorry can't help you, might want to call the companies directly and ask them for some clients and then call them

usually they'll be willing to give you that type of info, especially if they want more clients, also ask for local ones

'Independent pharmacist' sounds like another name for a drug-dealer..I'm well aware that it's not, but it made me giggle to think of a dealer lugging a cash register around.

Sorry..I have no idea.

You could always just ask other pharmacists around your area. They'd probably be more knowledgable and willing to dispense advice.

Haha, kind of a difficult thing to find. I prefer calculators myself.

Good luck in your search, it would appear you will need it!
