Funnily enough, the song Tomhet by Burzum is stupidly relaxing. Try it, it's a lovely piece of music.

Anything by Coparck, an unknown Dutch band with the best music for relaxation ever. Here [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORp0GRNc2nM]'s a sample for those interested. There's also two [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ftNbsofBi0] songs [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdJyeH3ex_Q&feature=PlayList&p=1A5DB474B66344BE&index=5] from the Juno soundtrack I really like for relaxing. Then there's two songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Namely "Wet Sand [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUgr3KPGMug]" which has the most relaxing guitar solo ever and the "Stadium Arcadium [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KooDdS0osg&feature=related]" song) I like a lot, and strangely enough the "This Respirator [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKZsGhi6bx4]" by the Flatliners works wonders for me as well. I guess it's Chris' 'spitting' voice combined with a 'funk'-style sound rather than the chord heavy punk background they normaly use that makes it work for me. Oh, there's also the "Repo-man [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCtDAnRIBSI]" song by the Planet Smashers that works, but that's a completely different style.

Aside from that, I've also recently been getting into Radiohead and Tool and have figured out that putting on some of their music when trying to relax will do the job as well.

That song makes me fall asleep ... oh and there are quite a few songs by Incubus, or Placebo (Blind), and [a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4gMfFOnzd4"] Cloud Age Symphony [/a].

I tend to chill out to any number of the Post-Rock bands that I have in my library.

Gray Strawberries, God is an Astronaut, Explosions in the sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Hammock, etc.

Also, shoegaze is a good genre of music to chill out to.

Yes, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, I like them too, although their songs tend to be... random... and really long :)

I listen to the soundtrack music that i have from a variety of movies, anime series, and video games. Final Fantasy VII music is quite good, like Aerith's Theme, or some of the music from Crisi Core.

Under the Bridge, by The Red Hot Chili Peppers back when they were actually good.

Also, Sleeping In by the Postal Service. I really not into The Postal Service, but it's a pretty relaxing song.
