We've all done things in life in an act of defiance against an authority figure. Whether that be small like growing a mustache even though your mother tells you not to or fill the principal's car with water.

So, what's the most rebellious thing you've done in your life? Was it totally exhilarating or did you wake up the next day wondering why the hell you did what you did?

I took part in a semi-hostile takeover of our city hall. We were protesting against city's plan to demolish few buildings. It started out as any other peaceful protest, but ended with protestors going in the city hall and obstructing business by sitting down. Finally police carried all us protestors away. Only one or two were charged with anything, and those were destruction of property.

Definitely a "Why the hell did I do that?" moment for me. Fucking hard advanced biology test where the teacher all of a sudden at the end says "If you leave any of the questions blank, you get a zero". That was completely unreasonable; it was not that kind of test. So, in my anger (and frustration; I wasn't doing great), I began to write the dumbest shit to fill in the blanks. Stuff like Sparkles! Unicorns! Magic!, but the real kicker (As in; I kick myself for it) was when I wrote on a why question "Because you touch yourself at night". Either way that's pretty bad, but I'd forgotten that it was going to be the female teacher assistant person marking, not Mr. Reid. That does make it worse. In the end, I didn't get suspended. Instead, they accepted an apology, made me tell my parents myself (I can be persuasive when I actually want to be, that was actually a good thing), and gave me zero on the test. Problem was; I'd already been cutting it close. Zero out of Seventy right at the end of the year? Considering how close I was at the end of the semester, I blame that one event for failing. Although, if I'd actually done some work, I doubt it'd of mattered.

When I was 12, my parents were planning on moving just because they were sick of our house or something. Really, we had no good reason to be moving. This REALLY sucked for my brother and I, because we had a few neighborhood friends that we were going to be quite far away from (about 30-45 min drive). One night, my dad was collecting some house-selling paperwork for taking into some broker or something. After he finished, he put it in a manila envelope, and left it on the stairs to take with him the next day.

After he and my mom went to bed, my brother and I grabbed the folder, pulled all the papers out of it and then replaced them with any random piece of paper we could find. We used anything from blank pages to fliers from other houses. Then, we took the real papers, and destroyed all of them. It was a great way to take out our fury by cutting, shredding and tearing all of those pages. Hell, we even fed one to our guinea pig, just so that worst-case scenario, they still wouldn't have all of it back.

I just love to imagine how embarrassing it must have been for my dad to sit down with whatever person he was meeting and open a folder full of random sheets of paper. In the end we still moved, and though it was a nice house and inevitably hooked us up with some new friends, I still can't say they did the right thing. That house's value doubled over the next 2 years, and some of the houses that we have been in since we have had to sell because we didn't have enough money to stay in them. The kind of money boost we would have had could have averted many of our recent problems.

Man, with my idiologies and 'fuck the system' beliefs, I should be protesting more often and sticking it to the man. But alas, where I live is but a sleepy village and no one else will do it with me. Boring stupid establishment (grumble)...

After my grandmother threatened to have my sister walk home on a sprained ankle (just to prove she could, I think) I told her she couldn't. She threatened to put me in jail. I told her that doesn't work in the real world. She drove off.

Motto of the story; you do not fuck with the people I care about.

Apologies Abound

I have the same problem, it's the people man.
Anyways, the most rebellious thing I've ever done was threaten to slash my teacher's tires if she held me back from a field trip. This was to her face, but I got to go.

So who were you rebelling against when you performed this vandalism?

If he is still active or comitted serious crimes I'd burn his fucking house down (with him inside)
That would be like +150 karma points :D
i doubt hes still active, but hes gotten his fair share of lynchings too, he assaulted something like 20 kids, and the worst part is he lives not 2 blocks away from a primary school.

When a nursery I used to work for shut down, owing to shitty practises and an even shittier proprietor, I went and spraypainted "LOL" on their fence in big white letters. Almost got caught, too.

Rebelling eh?
Could I justify turning up to biology in highschool stoned off my face as rebelling?
no, probably not.
hmmm...
Probably the most conscious rebellion I've participated in is just generally being an asshole to people working for connex (the failure of a private company screwing over melbournes public transport). Two trains in a row were late, I'm now 40 minutes late to work and you want to see me fucking ticket? ...+15 rage.

I once rebelled against a bully by slapping his face with a thin branch.

God, that was the moment of my life I ran twice as fast as I thought I could.

ah crap is that from family guy? I think that show has invaded my subconscious, anyway the best one to say is "code Adam". It means there?s a lost child somewhere in the store and technically all employees are supposed to lock the doors and start searching, I haven't tried this one myself yet since I don?t want to be stuck in wal-mart while everyone searches for a kid that doesn?t exist.

Dude you notice how minimal amounts of people have replied to what you've said? That's because it's just begging for retaliation and a flame war. Good for you if you hold the views that you do on this particular subject, but a lot of people feel that your manner of expressing this view is disgusting, and it is most likely that what you have posted here is not relevant to the topic.

If you are going to troll with agressive and argumentative comments like those quoted (both of you to be honest), could you please reconsider.

Two people, I think his quotes just got messed up, smarty pants. :p

Anywhoo...rebellion huh? Well...the only thing I can think of, is 'forgetting' to pay for a -mandatory- study seminar. This would be have been around secondary level. And a lot of people had a problem with it because:

A: It was mandatory.

B: It cost money.

The faculty didn't seem to get that students probably would have gone anyway if they just put it out there, instead they tried to force the issue. So...I skipped it in the end. ^^'

I haven't had much of a chance to be rebellious, so the worst thing I have done (and this was through three of the four years I was in high school) was refuse to do all the idiotic assignments I was given, like make a movie poster for a book, or most of my English class projects in my junior year...I hate doing useless things that get graded.

Edit: I still have yet to regret that, even though I ended up with C's and D's most of the semester...
