Chibi-Robo. It's a fun, quirky, cute...I guess you could call it a platformer. You play as a tiny robot who cleans up after and takes care of the mental well-being of the family who bought him, as well as the sentient toys that were given life by aliens. Okay, so it sounds like complete shit, but i assure you, it's a great game. It's quirky, it's fun, it's touching at moments. It's well worth the purchase.

Baten Kaitos - A JRPG that uses a unique card-based combat system. One of the best card-based systems I've used. It's fluid, intuitive, and works wonderfully. Also, the cards age, changing into different cards as time passes(not during combat. cards change only outside of combat, and can take anywhere from a few minutes to several days real time to change). It adds a nice level of depth to the system. The voice acting is shit, but you can turn it off. The story's actually pretty good. Oh, and the soundtrack is bitchin'.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Fun story, simple but engaging combat. A must have game.

Resident Evil 4. If you've never played it, get it. Visually, it still holds up pretty well, and it's a really fun game.

Tales of Symphonia. An action JRPG with a great story. The voice acting is hit or miss. I thought it was okay, but others thought it was horrible. Combat's fun, story's great, characters are likable. What more can you ask for from a game?

Viewtiful Joe. Inventive Beat 'um Up that uses a rather unique art style akin to a comic book filmed on old film. With time-bending super powers, wonderfully cheesy story and dialog, it's an excellent game.

Eternal Darkness. I recommend you watch/read a couple reviews on this one before picking it up. It's one of those love it or hate it games. A horror game shown through the perspective of several characters, the story can be somewhat dry, and the combat is rather frustrating, but it's a very interesting game that I believe is worth a playthrough.

Stairfax temperatures? Anyway, I agree with every recommendation of the gentleman above me, and I would add

Metroid Prime- really does the most with the first person angle of any first person game I've ever played, in addition to being a near perfect shooter-adventure

Gladius- turn based strategy/RPG set in a Roman fantasy setting

Custom Robo- customize robots and fight other robots. There's a lot of interesting weapons and stuff although the replay value isn't great

X-Men Legends 2- fun action-RPG

Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction- Surprisingly fun, pretty tough but you can turn cars into boxing gloves and buses into snowboards.

Gun- Western action/shooter type thing, pretty fun, I liked it more than Red Dead Redemption to be honest

EDIT: Also Zelda. Duh. Either of them are awesome

And then some, like me, thought the voice acting was amazing.

Baten Kaitos - Japanese RPG
Baten Kaitos: Origins - Japanese RPG
Custom Robo - Mech Style Third Person Arena Shooter
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker - Zelda
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Zelda
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes - Third Person Stealth-Action
Metroid Prime - First Person Shooter
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - First Person Shooter
Minority Report - Third Person Action-Shooter
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - Mario RPG
Resident Evil 4 - Third Person Horror-Shooter
Shadow the Hedgehog - High Speed Platformer
Skies of Arcadia Legends - Japanese RPG
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - High Speed Platformer
Sonic Heroes - High Speed Platformer
Tales of Symphonia - Japanese RPG

All of which are fun games, definitely worth a look. Honestly, I don't really shop online or look to see what they go for. So I couldn't tell you what any of these titles would cost you. And I'm too lazy to go and research them all at 1 in the morning.

This, its the best horror game in my opinion. It has amazing atmosphere and a solid storyline.

[HEADING=1]PIKMIN!!![/HEADING]

Oh my god you gotta play Pikmin! Pikmin is so goddamn awesome! It's like a real time strategy game with the controls of an action game. I know it sounds really weird but it works surprisingly well. And it's a hell of a lot of fun! Play it! It's awesome!

The best have already been mentioned, though I'd add these to make the list complete:
Bomberman: Generation
F-Zero GX
P.N.03
Star Wars Roque Squadron 2 and/or 3
Super Monkey Ball 2
Super Smash Bros Melee

Still missing:

- Peter Jackson's King Kong. Yeap, a movie tie-in. And one of the best ever made I might add.
- Star Fox Adventures. Deviates a lot from the Star Fox formula but as it was my first Star Fox game I didn't care much.
- Super Monkey Ball. Awesome puzzle-platformer.
- Killer 7. To illustrate, No More Heroes was Killer 7's spiritual sequel. I have yet to play it but that's all I need to know.
- Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. Bloody awesome Star Wars game that was.
- Beyond Good And Evil. One of last generation's gems.
- Super Smash Bros. Melee. You just can't miss the GC's best brawler and one of it's coolest party games.

If only that was available on the GameCube.

I was going to suggest Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II until I remembered just how cold, desolate, and haunting some of the areas are when you're alone.

I'd recommend the Resident Evil remake over RE4 by a long shot, though.

Captcha: yellow-belly

Captcha, I'm professing that I dislike RE4 and you're calling me a coward? Pfft.

The ports of Sonic Adventure 1 and/or 2
Sonic Heroes(this one's a bit of a hit or miss)
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Simpsons Hit & Run
Crazy Taxi
Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Super Smash Bros. Melee

I cannot recommend these two enough. Two of my favorite games ever. (I would also like to recommend the whole trilogy)

In addition to those two:

Zoids Battle Legends: Like custom robo, you build robots and fight each other. Except now they're animal robots!

Battalion Wars: Ever wanted to play a real time strategy where you can jump into the action? This is for you!

Rogue Squadron: Fly a space ship! Kill imperial scum!

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker: My favorite Zelda game, sail around the world and do Link-y stuff.

Here's my list (some repeats but who cares, they're so good they should be mentioned more than once)

- Metroid Prime

- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

- Super Smash Bros. Melee (only if you plan to play it splitscreen multiplayer, though)

- Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader

- Star Fox Adventures

- Star Fox: Assault

- Super Monkey Ball (1 or 2)

- Shadow the Hedgehog (an actual decent Sonic actiony-shooter game, WHUT?)

- Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness (OK it wasn't that good, but I liked it, 3D pokemon is cool)

- SSX Tricky (this game is awesome, and especially in splitscreen, probably the most
nostalgia I have for a game)

- Luigi's Mansion (actually a really good game, surprisingly)

- The Simpson's Hit and Run (actually a really fun game, it mightn't be the best in story or graphics, but it's good fun)

Those are the ones I've played, but through pure reputation you should probably buy:
- Beyond Good and Evil
- Resident Evil 4
- Pikmin 1/2
- Battalion Wars (I played the sequel on Wii and it was pretty good)
- Burnout 1 or 2 (although 3 was the best it isn't on GC)
- Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
- Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (played it on PC and it's good but it mightn't be on GC, I dunno)
- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Really surprised this hasn't been mentioned)
- Red Faction 2

Alright, I'm out, there's another........23 games for you!

Hah, oops. I was thinking of Super Mario Sunshine and ended up putting in Galaxy, by mistake. Then I read Galaxy and forgot to get rid of it entirely. X_X

:S All these games I missed! I have suddenly, after buying a PS2 on a whim in a comic book shop, realised that now I am an adult I actually have the freedom to go back and revisit old games that I missed... and that they were not just a 1 time only thing!

So now I need a game cube to go with my N64 and Dreamcast... and so I can finally play all the Zeldas, Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario! Games I was jellous of when I was a kid! :p

(Then again I had a PS1 and 2 as a kid... and that by far had the most games!!

A reference to this video:
OT: Looks like most of what I was going to suggest has already been covered. Let's see... You could try Def Jam: Fight for NY or Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. They're both pretty fun fighting games. In one you get to rumble with godzilla monsters in cities around the world with destroyable buildings. The other is ridiculous and over-the-top, but a lot of fun.

With this clip from Def Jam I rest my case:
