Obligatory post about Psychonauts. It was probably already mentioned though.

Also, Psi Ops was fucking amazing.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES or Persona 4, they're RPGs and can only be described as bat shit mental. They're really good but possibly a little too niche.

I suppose the only thing I would regard as "crazy" would be Stubbs the Zombie. It seemed pretty fun, but I was young, so maybe it's actually rubbish...

Does it get crazier than Crazy Taxi? I'll never stop loving that game. And another not very overlooked but crazy game is Devil May Cry, the whole series is just amazing, and pretty darn crazy.
Hogs of War I thought was really overlooked, but it's 5th gen I think, but PSone's were awesome.

I remember Jak II got overlooked more than I thought it would, especially being one of the few games at the time to touch on GTA style free roam in a different environment.

Also, if anybody knows the name of it, there was a sort of inline skating game, set in the future, on the PS2 demo disk from back in the day? That was cool!
I also would recommend Jack 2 even though some of the timed missions are a little ridiculous. Also, Jack 3 just because of the one part where you find out what precursors are.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance would be another big one. I don't know if you own it or not but it's worth going through at least once.

Bully. Ignore the complaints. It was hilarious. One of my favorites.

Shadowman. That's psone though. In fact, why not try games from before last generation?

Ill Bleed is one of the most fun yet bizarre games I've ever played (dreamcast). Imagine a competition/theme park that mimicks horror movies. Except these attractions can actually kill you. The game also goes from horror to humor constantly. Also, it plays like nothing else I've touched.

Claw is a platform game on the computer I played when I was really young. Think saturday morning cartoons about beast pirates. It was great because the cutscenes were like a show and even if the graphics were cartoony it was still kinda dark.

As for the question above are you sure that wasn't on the dreamcast? It sounds like something I played on the dreamcast.

1. Postal 2
2. Grim Fandango (but I'm not sure it works on modern Windows versions)

The only really 'crazy' game I can think of is Doshin the Giant for the GameCube. Strangest. God Sim. Ever

It was also released on the Nintendo 64DD in Japan, and there was an expansion for the 64DD version called 'Doshin the Giant: Rescue from the Front by the Toddlers that Tinkle at the Large Meeting-Hall'.

[sub]Seriously, whats up with that title?[/sub]

I know this is one generation too old, but LSD: Dream Simulator. It was a Japanese PS1 game that is just way too hard to explain. Maybe these links can?

There's also a bunch of hilarious Lets Plays on Youtube.

Game I just thought of: Black, I regard this as overlooked as it came right at the death of the Xbox. It looks insane

Any others? oh and anyone reccomend any other online game shops which may stock these weird and wonderful games?
Two FPSes that are *more* overlooked than Black, but also way better:
Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter(Well, for some definitions of good. The graphics are much worse.)
Operation Snowblind(For any and all definitions of good.)

I cannot find that game anywhere. Goddamn it, that sounds so cool.

I thought of another one: Incredible Crisis For the PS1 [http://www.giantbomb.com/incredible-crisis/61-20395/] I watched the people on Giant bomb play it and it looks hilarious, thoughts?

Oh I forgot about Second Sight, yeah I almost finished that till I lost my save. What a damn shame.

Stuff from the mid 2000s is retro now? I knew time was compressing these days, but aren't they allowed a 10-year grace period or something before having passed completely from "current", through "yesterday's news" and "rather old" into the hallowed halls of "retro"?

OTOH, just play Minecraft.

(that said, I was given a bit of a jolt recently into just how long the current generation's been around ... the X360 is like 5 years old now. WTF. So even if it's not quite there, there'll be PS2 and Xbox games firmly in the retro zone soon, though you'd have to be limited to the rather iffy launch titles at first. On that subject, how about ZOE?)
