The most recent Anime I saw was the Madoka Magica Rebellion movie. It was quite good. Beyond that, I haven't been watching much anime recently. With my job and everything, it's easier for me to read Manga than it is to watch anime. The last few shows I started to watch was Kill La Kill, which I need to finish at some point, and the other one was a show about space pirates, which a high school girl was next in line to become the captain of a famous gang of space pirates. I don't remember the name of it at the top of my head. The last full season of anime I watched was the Monogatari stuff, the second season. I got so much stuff I want to play/watch/read that I'm really behind on some of the good anime that has come out recently. It would be easier if I could understand Japanese so I would multitask and watch a show as I'm doing other stuff.

Captcha: it doesn't count
I guess then I haven't watched anything recent in a long time. Thanks Captcha, make me feel bad.

Currently watching these airing series:
Akame ga Kill, Bladedance of Elementalers, HaNaYaMaTa, Glasslip. P4 Golden, Majimoji Rurumo
INVADERS of the ROKUJYOMA!?, Aldnoah Zero, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, Sword Art Online II, Tokyo ESP, Tokyo Ghoul

From last season I enjoyed:
No Game No Life
Chaika The Coffin Princess
Akuma no Riddle
Black Bullet

Other than that, the only series I watched really recently was Love Live. If I expand to the last couple months I also finished Baccano, Log Horizon, Danganronpa, and Persona 4.

And now to actually add to the discussion, Tokyo Ghoul started strong but is starting to lose my interest, it just feels too cliche at times. Akame ga Kill is interesting but I am awaiting another twist to actually be invested. SAO II is about what I expected out of it, hopefully it shapes up to be decent.

Also also i'm watching Mahouka, AKA The Adventures of Shiba Tatsuya: Anime Jesus.
*snip*
It does grind on me but it does give him even one character flaw which is nice.
For what little it is worth, in the LN he has a little bit more personality to him. And he does have a weakness in his loyalty to his sister, the anime does a poor job of showing it as one though.

I'm liking this current season, sure there could be more non-harem romance, but *sigh* ...
Have you tried Glasslip? It is not quite a full on romance but I am enjoying it so far.

That's by P.A Works right?
Huh, I forgot about that one.
It's quite amazing since they finished Nagi no Asukara a while ago.

I'll check it out, thanks!

Well, I just finished rewatching Cowboy Bebop. I felt like it improved for me with a second viewing. I'll probably have to finish texhnolyze sometime seeing how I'm half-way through the story.

Tokyo ghoul - kinda boring since i already read the manga, but at least i can count how many things they cut from it!
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - It's silly and predictable, but.. I don't know.. I'm bored! And i have read most manga's of any decent anime's that are airing right now.

I bought and watched Black Lagoon Roberta's Blood Trail yesterday and loved it. Tabitha St. Germain as the title character was both awesome and absolutely terrifying.
Also watching Space Dandy on Toonami.

I was watching Sword Art Online for a bit. Up until the Alfheim arc. It jumped into some sort of second story with a pointless pseudo incest-crush plot and almost fan-service with a pervy business man. Goddamn anime shenanigans.

Now I'm watching Usagi Drop and it's pretty decent, though I've heard the manga takes a nosedive into a creepy direction set 10 years later.

Initial D Fifth Stage, even though the art switch from the 4th stage is so-so, the music absolutely kicks ass.

Currently im keeping up with Jojos Bizzare Adventure and Sword Art Online II.

Recent series that i enjoyed would include No Game No Life and Black Bullet. So much so that i absolutely will read their respective light novels when someone gets around to translating them.

Speaking of which;

My roommate talked me into watching No Game No Life and I can't stand it. On top of being dull and wierdly perverted (I'm no stranger to perversion but when an 11 year old girl admits to wanting to have sex with her brother in something that's not explicitly porn and I get uncomfortable. It's bad enough in hentai.) its just painful to look at with bright oversaturated colors.
The adaptation does throw in alot more fanservice than there actually is in the light novels, and (bath scenes aside) it stops almost entirely after ep 6, where its arguably at its worst.

And i am anticipating Hanamonogatari. If theres any anime worth waiting for, it must be Shaft anime.

I started watching Attack on Titan last night. Holy shit, what a downer.
I really liked that anime until about the halfway point

Anime I'm keeping up with right now are Terror in Tokyo [or Terror in Resonance as it's also called], JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which I absolutely love, Sailor Moon: Chrystal, ok but goddamn that VA for the main character, Aldnoah Zero, loving it but a little wary on how cartoony evil the Vers are and the Persona 4 Golden which is beyond all criticism because of this

Right now I'm doing Glasslip, Tokyo Ghoul, Space Dandy S2, SAO II and some other random ones I'll probably drop. I actually don't think i'll be continuing Tokyo Ghoul or SAO II.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the name, Can't believe I forgot a title like that. Got to get around to watching more of that.

I haven't seen the JoJo anime, but I'm reading the manga, and got to agree with how awesome it is. How many seasons does that anime have? Persona 4 anime was great, especially for the adaptation of the game. I never understood why a lot of people seemed to hate it. Yes there is a number of differences from the game, because they had to change things to fit the anime medium while keeping everything consistent with the game. All the emotional parts worked as well, or arguably better, in the anime as the game. The main scenes I think that were better was the one you showed, and the Kings Game scene. Kanji is a beast, and anyone who disagrees can, as Kanji would say "get bent". (not being serious btw).

Right now its in the Second Season which is being devoted entirely to Stardust Crusaders while the first season combined Johnathon and Joseph's arcs into one season

I just finished Sekirei unless there's a third season of it somewhere that Netflix doesn't have. It's much better than I expected as I don't usually like harem style anime but the fight scenes make up for it. I just wish the plot was explained better. The villain seems to have no motivation for anything beyond boredom and general dickishness.
The manga better explaining things that were rushed in the anime. And it is much more farther than where the anime left off.

Yeah, the anime doesn't have a third season yet, and the manga has gone much farther than the anime is currently at.

Watched Kill la Kill. It was alright. I might have enjoyed it more if I was previously inclined to watch more of said superhero highschool is hard heroine power of friendship yeah type shows, so I'd have a better idea of exactly what tropes etc it was subverting/parodying etc. That said, there were a couple of occasions where it crossed the line from "yeah it's gratuitous titillation, but it's okay because that's the point" to "that's her mother & she is touching her vagina!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Also, it's not really sending up the obsession with having characters monologue during fights by having them all do just that & then one of them go "hah! jokes on you! During your monologue we did this to stop the thing you were monologing about while I'm monologing about stopping it!" This is how you do that:
