Ok, the title may not be the best of descriptions for this thread's purpose but, anyways..

I'm sure people have been watching movies, playing games, or watching tv series, and have probably finished one or two in the past while. What I want to know in this thread, what are some of your opinions or lookbacks on stuff you have finished playing/reading/watching recently?

Mine would be, I just finished watching the complete series of Samurai Champloo (an anime done by the creator of Cowboy Bebop) today after owning it for a while, and I really think I enjoyed it a lot more than Cowboy Bebop. For some reason the whole style of it and the trio of Fuu, Jin, and Mugen clicked with me more than CB did, though I don't think the ending was as good. Jin's story ending great, but I felt more could have been done with Mugen and Fuu's conclusion. Still, a great show and one of my favorite series now =]

Well, going through Evangelion, I realize that I detest how Asuka basically gets the extreme short-end of the stick in that series. Especially since she's my favorite character in it :(.

-I am watching The Wire. I cannot think of a single television series I have ever seen that is better.

-I just finished Grand Theft Auto IV yesterday. It is a very good game, but frankly it should be a little shorter; I was starting to get sick of it by the end.

-I watched Hot Tub Time Machine on the weekend. It was a very good, very funny movie.

-I recently aborted by attempt to read "Weapons of Mass Distraction: Soft Power and American Empire." It was like reading a first-year political science essay written by someone who was president of their high school's Young Socialists club. I don't know if I've ever read a more unoriginal and banal book in my life.

I've been listening to "MC Chris Is Dead", and I have to admit that it changed my opinion of the little spaz. He's kind of an ass but his beats are pretty smooth and his wordplay isn't bad.

I recently finished The Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison. It was absolutely brilliant and I recommend any of his books to people. I've been playing lots of Doom and Hexen and I can safely say that anyone who is bored should fire them up once more, maybe get a co-op game going with friends.
