OK, so to give you guys some background, I recently had some stuff stolen... X360, DS, Wii, PSP, and a bunch of games from each console... I WAS the owner of all three current gen home consoles but I don't really want to/can't invest in some PS3 games, and I only buy PS3 exclusives and blurays for it. I have a fairly low end PC (now that the graphics card was stolen out of it) so I can't run much so recomend some older games please. I'll play pretty much anything except for sports and family games... but in particular try to suggest some good FPS/RPG/JRPGs that I will be able to run off of a relatively shitty computer (I'm able to emulate up to the PS1/N64/Dreamcast era pretty well), I greatly appreciate it.

There is a Sega Genesis series of RPG's called Shining Force, the second one is the better of the two. Genesis is cheap online and so are most carts (don't want to be too pro-emulation here).

thank you, I'll definitively look into it, but it will be through means of emulation just because honestly I'm too caught up in school work to take any more shifts at my job and I don't have the money to buy virtually anything... it isn't so bad emulating it with a 360 controller anyways

Not a problem, I'm not against you emulating in this case but you never want to be vocally backing it too strongly, it's akin to piracy in that case.

The only other good Sega stuff I know of is the Sonic series, I can't recall off of the top of my head other RPGs but there is one that's D&D based if I can think of the name...

D: That's horrible. I wish I could help you and send you some of my games but I don;t have a PS3. Uhh... I assume you got killzone 2. Resistance 2, Ratchet and Clank Future, Resistance, uhhh... Metal Gear Sold 4, GTA4 or Fallout 3.(I know not an exclusive.)

Edit: Sorry I read it wrong, you don't want PS3 games? Games for your PC... I guess you can try getting steam and download some old games. Also, I don't know what consoles these are for, but I suggest earthbound or fallout. Best rpgs ever.

FUN FACT #1: the thief was none other than my 14 year old sister and her shitty friends (sorry I'm not trying to look for sympathy here)

I'll look into the older fallouts (cause there is no way I'll be able to run 3 on my computer and I've already played my fair share of it before anyways... but thanks for the suggestions and I'll have to check out Earthbound as well, a friend of mine was saying it was really good

If you're going down the emulation route, stick to the SNES, get Secret of Mana 1 & 2, then get Chrono Trigger (both RPG's), they should see you through a few weeks.

Emulating up to PS1 is good news, that means you can get Doom, Doom II & Final Doom, Goldeneye & Perfect Dark on the N64 (both FPS's), Parasite Eve (PS1: Action/horror RPG), Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64: RPG).

I just stuck to RPG's & FPS's as you mentioned but there are so many awesome games I could recommend, hopefully some of those see you through, I feel for ya bro.

I can not reccomend this series enough. Get it own it love it. The first of the shinging force series was a little rpg called "shining in the darkness" almost like an oldschool D&D game. kinda cool, but nothing like the shining force series.

Old and fun RPGs:

Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger

For PS1: Final Fantasy 7, 8 ,9 (obviously), Final Fantasy Tactics

N64: GoldenEye (you need the proper N64 controller to play it well)

Also try for PC (RPG) Diablo 1 +2, Baldur Gate 1+2, Dungeon Siege, Morrowind, Gothic 2.

Shooter: No one lives Forever, Max Payne, Doom, Half Life 1

Not terribly against Emulation but I suggest titles that aren't on VC or XBLA, not that you have them anymore (it's really more on principle.) I also hope you did not have an auto sign-in set on anything that goes online.

If you can find it, there is a Sega Collection on the PC that will likely run. Contains both Shining Force and Phantasy Star (numerous other games, though not what you are looking for.)

For FPS action, you can't go wrong with Classic ID games, or Unreal series. Trying to look through my collection here....Diablo, Fallout, Arcanum...

On the 360 it did auto-sign but it requested your four button pin simultaneously and don't worry I immediately went to a friends house and recovered my Gamertag... dodged one there (20,000 points would've been lost) but unfortunately the gamesaves can never be recovered... there were a lot of hours logged into that thing and a lot of weapons, levels, etc unlocked that will all have to be redone... as soon as my sister replaces all the stuff she took

Shining Force 2 was one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences of my life.
Highly recommend.

well she gets involved with the wrong crowd and goes partying and does drugs and shit she's not supposed to... my mom goes incredibly easy on her though because she gets A's and B's in school. I don't have it so easy because I get barely passing to average marks (but I don't get involved with all the wrong stuff she does, I'm an escapist like most of you, I like teh Video Games =D) so I get home from work last Thursday at around 10:30 at night and when I get home my mom has gone to her High School Reunion BS and left my sister alone in the house... she had a bunch of (rather large, older looking) friends leaving the house... but it looked like there had been a lot more than a few. When I get downstairs to my room I notice my stuff gone, room trashed, etc. (THANK THE FREAKING HEAVENS MY 52 INCH LCD IS STILL INTACT). I get after my sister about it and she gets MAD AT ME and leaves the house for the night. Now my stuff is gone, she's pretty much off the hook aside from my mom telling her to get a job so she can pay me back the stuff (but it'll probably never happen and she won't get after her about it), my shit is gone and I have pretty much nothing to play.

I think the worst part of it all (aside from of course questioning what my very own sister thinks of my existence and if it is in fact a joke to her) Is that I paid for everything myself: consoles, games, blurays... which isn't an easy task when you're sixteen and juggle school and a job while using a lot of the money from that job to be able to go TO school in the first place.

And on a lighter note, break all of her shit, and everything she gets new, for like 4 years, that should cover the damages done to you.
