Recommend a Sci-Fi Book

i'd say if you are unsure, maybe try a fantasy or similar style book, unless your dad is totally against the idea of that. might be worth a try if you're unsure what he's read already.

like i said you might want to try Clive Barker or Neil Gaiman

Think I've actually decided on a book to get me old man, as far as fantasy, I'm fairly sure he's not into that much, and neither am I really, Prefer Sci-Fi.

Hyperion, definetly. And Dune aswell. Already recommended on here. Dune is a bit old, but it won the Hugo award in.. 1967 if my memory doesn't fail me, and Hyperion was nominated too, I believe. I've read all of them and they had me enthralled till the end.

I can support that. Hyperion and it's three sequels are really some of the best scifi I 've ever read.

Currently reading Dune myself, If I had lived 30 years ago, I'd get my dad Dune without a doubt, it's awesome, but it so happens to be that I borrowed Dune from him.
