Recommend a sci-fi show

I'm a big sci-fi fan. I own and love Battlestar Galactica and Firefly/Serenity and I'm a long-time fan of Star Trek (The Original Series) and now I'd appreciate some assistance/advice in choosing which of these three shows to pick up and watch next:
Babylon 5
Stargate SG-1
Farscape

I've heard great things about all three and have no clue which to get my teeth into first

But don't watch any of season 5 except for the very last episode.

Babylon 5 hands down if you like hard sci-fi.
Actually as much as I love all sci-fi, I'd say watch B5 first.
Stagate SG-1 is soooooo long, so I wouldn't recommend starting with that.

Just Finished Babylon 5, First season is rough but stick with it it becomes fantastic in the later seasons as the Arc builds up.

Currently Rewatching Farscape, Great writing, awesome dialog and totally fun, nuff said.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, I want another space based sci fi show but SG1, Farscape and Babylon 5 all feel pretty shitty after viewing Battlestar, Star Trek TNG and firefly...

So I'm back to watching anime instead

Out of those 3 I would definitely start with Babylon 5, especially if you enjoy the hard, "space opera" type SciFi like those you previously mentioned. Stargate SG1 is awesome but extremely long, and Farscape is incredibly over-the-top and fun but if you want extremely good writing, character development, awesome space battles, fascinating aliens, and a story arc that's purely epic (especially in seasons 3 and 4) then Babylon 5 is what you're looking for.
