Recommend Anime

At first I thought I didn't like anime, but I'm beginning to think that's just because I've only seen the bad ones. I'm not sure which ones will be good and which ones will disappoint me. If you know of any cool anime shows you would like to recommend not only for me, but for all of us, pitch it here.
