How about the Orange Box or Dead Rising?

I've spent way too much time with both of those, and thoroughly enjoyed both.
Had both of these and traded them in. The guy in the store gave me abuse. The same guy gave me abuse when trading in L4D....

Wait... what do you mean by "abuse"?

Holy God in heaven man, WTF did you do that for?

OT: Have you tried Kane and Lynch? It's a pretty okay game, and worth the $8 you'd spend on it.

This is just looking over my past games for some that I really loved, you might not but I'll recommend them anyway.

Burnout Revenge (No online anymore unfortunately, but it's a pretty sweet offline game too)
Dead Space
Force Unleashed
Lost Planet (Again, you won't get any online games anymore but just playing through the story mode is pretty fun)
Mirror's Edge
Ninety-Nine Nights
Project Sylpheed

Should be able to get a hold of any of these on the cheap.

Brutal Legend? I played part of it, and it was awesome. Maybe Gears of War (1 or 2)?
This (The Brutal Part), And Borderlands when it comes out... (Or, If you liked Assassins Creed, AC2 is coming out (fairly) soon)

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. Best next gen fighting game out there right now. Great characters, great balance, player friendly controls, and crushing depth and strategy. It may be alittle japanesey and wierd, but its awesome!

Who called out Tales of Vesperia? Seconded.

But Brutal Legend is supposed to be awesome but since it just came out and I'm poor I haven't played it. The demo is avaliable so you could get an ok idea of it from that. I mean I liked the demo a lot.

If it were me I would hold off until Dragon Age. Although it is hard to say since there is a chance it could fail (and it is still weeks away). Borderlands is another in my must have list. Again possibility of failure.

Hmmm... I noticed you have both Forza and a few games with violence. Might I recommend Burout Revenge or Paradise? Just remember, if you think your car will explode with just a tap, you're probably right.

Condemned 2 was much better than the first game, the ending was a bit weak basically a "to be continued" but overall the game was solid. The good mechanics from the first game were improved on and used more; and the melee was revamped for combos and the like. If you read the files from the first game the story should make sense. If not you might wonder how the whole occult plot was related to the first game.

Cheek! Especially when I traded L4D for Tiger Woods 10.

The dude in the store did give me £25 for my copy of L4D which I only paid £15 for! - I'm getting pretty good at buying games on the cheap then trading them in for more money.

I tried really hard to like it but couldn't (Orange Box) and as for TF2 I personally think CoD4 is better online. I had a lot of connection issues with TF2.

As for Kane and Lynch, yeah had the demo wasn't impressed.

So tomorrow I head off to Game for a new purchase or two....

Can you recommend me an Xbox 360 title to buy?

I am considering Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and The Bigs (purley on the basis that the Edinburgh stores never have any Baseball games).

When recommending something please be aware that I already own (or have owned):

Ace Combat
Assassins Creed
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Batman: AA
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
Battlefield: Bad Company
Bioshock - Borrowed
COD4
Condemned
Crackdown
CSI
Dark Sector
Dead Rising - Since Traded in
Far Cry 2 - Since Traded in
Fight Night Rd 3
Fallout 3
Fifa 09
Forza 2
Frontlines: Fuel of War
GTA IV
Gears of War 2
GRAW 2
Guitar Hero 3
Halo 3 - Since Traded in
Left 4 Dead - Since Traded in
Lost
Mass Effect - Borrowed
Perfect Dark Zero
Resident Evil 5
Rockband
Saints Row 2
Scene It: BOS
The Elder Scolls IV: Oblivion - Borrowed
The Orange Box - Since Traded in
Tiger Woods 08
Tiger Woods 10
Virtua Tennis 3
Viva Pinata
Wall-E
World Series of Poker
WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009

(Sorry I should have added the list at the start!)

Also worth noting that I'm not really into RPGs...
Vampire Rain... although I heard it was awful on 360, and the version PS3 I found to be both quite functional and enjoyable... IF you like possibly the hardest stealth game of all time.
If you're spotted by anyone, instant death. It's not as hard as you're thinking, but it's a good challenge.
I enjoyed it. Not the best graphics or originality, but it had a passable plot, and decent enough gameplay to keep me engrossed.
Think splinter cell meets vampires.
The main character is a ripoff of Sam Fisher, and David from Metal Gear though.
