and now for something completely different

What is it this time? Mindfucky-ness? Some massive freak out? A complex identity crisis? Simply pissed off about still being a virgin?

Nope. I need help picking a toy gun.

See, A nerf society just got set up at my uni. I had a great time at our first match, but I only have a maverick at the moment, so I'm looking to upgrade.

Out of the guns I saw, I'm mixed between the Rampage and the retaliator. The rampage fires quicker, but the retaliator seems to get great range, both qualities I lack in the Maverick.

I'm trying to keep in a price range of up to £30, possibly £40 if I can be convinced it's worth it.

So, any Nerf experts wanna help me out here? Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Right, I ended up getting a retaliator, along with a jolt because they're incredibly handy to have, and it got me over the £30 required to get 75 extra free darts, which should see me through in case I lost some darts. I mostly got the retaliator because with all the attachments it came with, it seemed like a good "starter pack".

Try to get a hold of a nerf longshot. Extremely far range, great accuracy, bipod, scope, and makes you feel like a badass. Good luck trying to find one for a halfway reasonable price though.

If those two are your go to choice though I recommend the rampage. It has a decent rate of fire and retains accuracy from a fair distance considering the it. Also loading each shot on the retaliator is just awkward.

Yeah, someone turned up with one of those at the first match. Funny thing was, he was the smallest guy there carrying this massive gun.

Any opinion on drum mags? That's my primary concern with the rampage, I heard it can have some jamming problems, and seeming as I can't seem to get standard clips alone, if I have a problem with drum mags, it'd probably be better for now to just get a retaliator, maybe pick myself up a rampage if I really get into it as a hobby.

As a Nerf enthusiast my recommendation is the biggest, baddest one you can afford. And extra darts. Something like this,

Also get drum clips for this. I have 2. They never jam. They treat a man right.

Then get that sucker home and mod the shit out of it. Like this

If that's not your style go with something like this,

It can hold 4 drum clips.

And mod that ***** too.
