So could you fine fellows recommend me a spectacle fighter (i.e. Gears of War III, Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, etc.) I usually play CRPGs and adventure games; I want to branch out to something a bit more active. Alright, thanks in advance.

I personally really enjoyed the "Wolverine origins" game. It had a few bugs, but for the most part was quite good. I still maintain it is one of the very few games that was based on a movie but didn't suck.

crpgs?

I've heard good things about bayonetta. So long as your not playing on a ps3.
Computer Role Playing Games, they're pretty much the same as RPGs but make an effort to imitate the pen-and-paper RPG, non-linear, free-characterization style.

I am playing on a PS3, but I hear they patched in so that it installs on the drive and it now has very short loading times. Almost too short, when I tried out the demo I could barely find the time to do a single combo in the loading screen practice room thingy.

Thanks for your recommendation.

Spectacle fighter isn't really a valid term for a genre, please use real terms and not some meme term. That said; I think I understand you.

Devil May Cry has superb design in nearly all aspects, great enemy AI is still peerless to this day. Only the limited number of options in comparison to later games hold it back.

Devil May Cry 3+4 are good but hard to enjoy if you don't learn some the complexities of their system. Dull enemies and bosses ofthen pale in comparison to the first games.

God Hand gives a closer view of the action and requires more presice evasion to avoid attacks than in most 3d beat em' ups. It's also very well executed.

God of War is overly scripted and shallow but has a good difficulty and many excellent scenes.

Dante's inferno is God of War without any good scenes.

Ninja Gaiden is very nuanced and has relentless and dangerous enemies but it feels like playing well requires use of repetetive tactics.

Bayonetta has a very unique way of mitigating the weaknesses of a dial-a-combo system but suffers from the same bad quick timer events that hurt God of War.

And those are just the major 3d action games.
