Any webcam is really fine, one with a built in mic makes life easier.

Honestly, depending on what your using it for the crappier the better. If your trying to webcam your GF it makes it real easy to pretty yourself up with low contrast semi blown out video that is compounded by the fuzziness of the 15 dollar camera.
