Recommend me an indie game

Well, ive got nothing to do so recommend me an indie game that can be bought on PSN/Steam/XBLA and I will buy the one that gets the most votes, review it and do a lets play if I like it.

Also, just to give this a bit of discussion, whats your favorite indie developer and why?

Braid, the story is shite but the gameplay is worth it.

I recommend Cave Story.

It's the same genre as Metroid and Castlevania. Personally? Everything I ever wanted in a game.

It is also completely free.

I recommend Flower.

It's unique, charming, innovative and a breath of fresh air(get it?) in the stale video game landscape. It gives you an experience you have never experienced and that's really all you can ask for for a small indie game. Most relaxing game ever made.

On a negative side it's a little pretentious and can get boring if you are a hectic sort of gamer (which I'm not).

Other games I'd recommend are Braid, The Path or Castle Crashers, Stardust HD and anything by Pixel Junk if you're looking for more of a traditional game.

Well what kind of game are you looking for? Its hard to recommend a game for you if we don't know that.

I suppose general recommendations are in order; Flower, World of Goo and Plants vs. Zombies are all brilliant PC games which anyone will enjoy. (Flower's also on PSN iirc)

If you like rts games Chris Park's AI War: Fleet Command is available on Steam for half price atm to celebrate the release of the expansion. Its a phenomenal game which I can't recommend highly enough.

Other then that I'm drawing a blank, seriously though if your looking for a good game recommendation be specific as to what you are looking for

Machinarium was pretty neat.
The controls suck at times, other than that it was great.

I second Braid, except the story isnt shit its just a tad unintelligible.

Osmos - puzzle
Trine - platformer
World of Goo - puzzle
Zeno Clash - FPS fighter

Those are all awesome and all on Steam. BUY THEM NOW

EDIT: Basically, the guy right below me. Zeno Clash also had a great story for such a short game.

I heartily recommend Zeno Clash. Quite possibly the best indie game I've ever played. Nothing better than some good, brutal first person fisticuffs.
